Adrian Griffin daughter drafted to Minnesota

Oft-injured really good role player and a typical "UCONN player." Shows more than anything the aura of Geno and UCONN women.

CL (if you see this....): Does Chen get selected higher if she stays at Princeton and improves on last year's stats?
Does Aubrey get drafted if she plays at Iowa?

I think no to either one. Playing at UConn puts you and your game in the spotlight. Plus, Auriemma knows a thing about two about the game, and has a proven record of being able to teach that to his players.

Aubrey has been pretty snake bit, injury wise, throughout her college career, but when she's been healthy, she shows incredible athleticism. For those of you who follow the women's game, think Gabby Williams, who was an undersized center for Connecticut. The Minnesota Lynx have done pretty well picking Connecticut players, including Maya Moore and Nepheesa Collier. I can see why they would be willing to take a shot on a player in the third (and final) round whose college career might not have been all she hoped it would be.

I hadn't realized that Mahaney has entered the portal. Thought he said after the FL loss he had "found a home" at UCONN.
Is he gone? Lots of press in CT papers about the Dayton/NYC guard; also the Georgia guard. Surprised Hurley "let" the young Philadelphia freshman leave.

He really struggled at Connecticut. I think a lot of that was trying to play him at the one. He just can't do that at a high level. He was going to go visit Florida State this weekend, but after the campus shooting that's obviously off. Apparently he is still going to visit Florida Atlantic, which seems like a more natural landing spot for him.

I wish him well, it's tough to see a kid flame out the way he did.

Hurley really seemed to like and root for him, too.
