Am I nit-picking?

Why is it when I look at the BE Standings it shows UCONN 1st then us 2nd.
I get it that that they have a better overall record but if the season ended today we would have the 1 seed based on head to head and there are only 2 teams at 6-1. Further, if you google seton hall basketball it says 2nd in BE.

What gives?

You said it, simply the better overall record. No tiebreakers until all the games are played.

FWIW, ESPN has Seton Hall as first place...:)

On some,sites,they list the,team with more total.wins if they have,the same,conference,record.

I doubt any of the national sites have tiebreakers programmed into their standings info. That would include MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL. There are probably too many potential variations that could happen.

As NYC Pirate alludes, their code likely defaults to either better overall record or alphabetical.
