Has Marquette passed UConn this season?

I know many will say that UConn has earned has earned the benefit of the doubt and that's understandable. But simply looking at the play to date it's very fair to say as of Nov 26 Marquette is #1 in the conference.

To date you have to say Marquette. They challenged themselves with Maryland, Purdue and Georgia plus their worst buy game exceeds UConn's pastry menu to date. On top of that UConn has lost to the only competitive opponent they've played.

When all is said and done, it would be no surprise if you would say UConn.

They are both likely going to be Top 10 teams this year but I think Marquette has the edge at this point in the season thanks to their continuity while UConn is getting a lot of players used to new roles.

Its really unique what Marquette has with their continuity. 66% of their minutes played last year have returned this season and their starting 5 consists of 3 Seniors and 2 Juniors who have played their entire careers at Marquette.

Also it gets forgotten because UConn has won back to back National Titles, but in the first title year of 22/23, Marquette actually won the BE at 17-3 and earned a 2-seed. UConn finished 4th in the BE at 13-7 but got better towards the end and had the amazing NCAA run as a 4-seed.
