You people think Trump is the only crazy white old codger out there? You ain't seen nothing yet baby.

They don't interpret the laws or constitution anymore. They simply insert their opinion - both sides. The high court of the land is so inept and so slanted its not even funny.

I think the quote is taken a bit out of context. I am no fan of Scalia but I want to be fair. He offered it up as a possible alternate argument. The exact quote is "

“There are – there are those who contend that it does not benefit African Americans to to get them into the University of Texas where they do not do well, as opposed to having them go to a less-advanced school, a less – a slower-track school where they do well.
“One of – one of the briefs pointed out that – that most of the – most of the black scientists in this country don’t come from schools like the University of Texas. They come from lesser schools where they do not feel that they’re – that they’re being pushed ahead in – in classes that are too too fast for them.”

I actually don't have a problem with this. I think open debate is good. If you disagree, great state your reasons why. But to dismiss as being racially insensitive, I don't buy it. While politically I lean liberal, I think the far left liberals are in favor of censorship in the name of political correctness which I vehemently oppose.

Very reasoned response Cernj. People often jump at the headline., and make up their mind immediately. Scalia is conservative to be sure, and very steeped in his faith (Catholic). He is an extremely bright man.

Knowing Scalia, I too was shocked by the out or context quote. Frank

Is there data that says most of the people fast tracked have not been able to handle it and did not improve their lives by virtue of the education they received? Most African Americans do not do well at U of T? I would be inter4ested in seeing those stats.

Frank, do you know Scalia from Fordham?
