These offensive metrics are grim.

I do think adding Wusu/EHE and losing Ndefo will help substantially with spacing + have unquantifiable impact on offense

It was brutal. The sloppiness was an epidemic. We weren’t compelling to watch. No juice.

I would caution that Holloway’s teams at SPC were generally awful too. But they looked good when it counted most in the 2022 NCAAT, lol. It should be a concern with his coaching until it looks better. The offensive players on the floor this year will be better than last. More guys will be in natural positions. Oh, and it can’t get worse, right? 😳

I expect to be super underwhelmed by EHE
Wusu will at least help with floor spacing more than Femi IMO. I don’t think he’s anywhere near as good of a ball handler or defender as Femi, having watched him some over the years. But he is definitely a better shooter and as long as the shooting is a threat that opens up drive lanes to the basket for him.

I like Wusu a lot but would have loved to have him and Femi on this squad.

It is a good listen. It is stunning to consider that some of the largest and wealthiest schools care only about money, even it leaves them wholly incapable of competing. RU had a near zero chance of winning a conference championship before recent expansion, but now it will likely finish each football season 4 spots lower. Many RU fans seemingly are fine following a team that will be a bottom half team in near perpetuity; in fact, many are happy because RU gets a big paycheck. How do fans stay enthusiastic and supportive long term in a structurally inferior position?

In reality, RU is a buy game for OSU, UM, USC, etc. It is akin to RU paying Wagner for an easy win.

RU is used to finishing last, having constant losing seasons and never going to post-season. Now they just get more money to do it but they waste even exponentially more money but since they don’t have people donating they don’t care because their bill for wasteful spending is just handed to the taxpayers. All of this because a small handful of their people desperately want to believe they matter in college athletics when everyone else knows they truly don’t.

Because for me at least it is not all about Football. Almost every single RU sport has improved since joining the BIG.

Ok, I'll play. Here are the programs that are much better since joining the BIG:

- Field Hockey: BIG championship and consistent NCAA team.

Womens Soccer- two FF, BIG chamionship.

Mens Soccer- BIG Championship

Mens Lacrosse- Final four

Wrestling: two national champion wrestlers, consistent top 15 program

Crew: consistent NCAA team and top 10 program

Women's Lacrosse- consistent top 15 program and NCAA qualifier.

Mens Basketball- you know Pike's success.

BTW, these are all from the past five years. I challenge you to list the conference titles and accomplishments of the Seton Hall Athletic Department over the same time period. (in a much weaker sports conference )
