Not a factor. I think everyone already assumes that he will run for at least the GOP nomination. If he were to be elected Kim G would be Governor for only one year before she had to seek re-election.Originally posted by Bobbie Solo:
ugh...so that happened.
I'm curious if those of you voted for Christie are in favor of, or will be annoyed, when he focuses on running for president in 2015 and beyond. And what about if he actually wins and quits being governor?
Also not a factor for me. He's done a pretty good job here for four years. If we only have him for another three, so be it.Originally posted by Bobbie Solo:

Damn right! haha. I voted Green Party though, couldn't get behind Buono, or most Dems in general these days, and she had no shot of winning as everyone thought.Originally posted by HALL85:
Thought it was interesting that the only two counties that carried Buono were Hudson and Essex...
Too early to tell because a lot depends on the shape of the country before 2016 election as we saw back in 2008. Christie vs. Hillary would surely be colorful after having two lame talking heads in the last Presidential election.
FWIW, I was meeting with the Pres/CEO of a company today that lives in Chappaqua and very much into NY politics due to the nature of his business. He knows the Cuomo's pretty well and said Mario was smart and arrogant and in his view Andrew had only one of those traits....guess which one...lol. Also said Andrew is interested in running in 2016 but will immediately defer to Hillary and drop out if she runs.Originally posted by Bobbie Solo:
Hillary's health/age seems like the only thing to prevent her from running in 2016. If she runs, I'd imagine she is a shoe-in for the nomination. Cuomo I guess is the next option for Democrats? I LOVE the idea of Elizabeth Warren running, but unless people start to realize how far right the whole conversation has shifted over the past 13 years and aren't happy about it, I don't think a true progressive who isn't a slave to Big Money has a shot. So as usual it will most likely be two corporatists who are a few shades of grey apart except on social issues.
I wonder if any other Republican candidates will emerge and gain traction that are rational people like Christie? Right now the only people sticking their feet in the water would get destroyed in a nat'l election.
Hmm, how come this same logic doesn't apply to the president or Hilary Clinton? Notice the duplicity here and in the media?Originally posted by Bobbie Solo:
pretty embarrassing stuff for the big tough guy today. No smoking gun that ties him to knowing exactly what went down, but it'skinda hard to believe he had no idea what his own chief of staff & his HS buddy were doing.
He is not done... yet. It really depends who he is running against in the primaries and if they are effective on the campaign trail.Originally posted by jcalz88:
Question for the Board: Why is he done? One mistake like this is really going to mess up his presidential run? I dont know much about how all this works, im a numbers kinda guy, but something like this would not stop me from voting for him...
That's as dumb a comment as Kelly sending the email.Originally posted by Muggsy Blue:

what are you referring to? Benghazi? I didn't follow that much, and I'm a bit wary of any conspiracy stuff getting pushed that hard by Fox News. I'm no fan of either Obama or Hillary though.Originally posted by SPK145:
