The baseball team's early season record is at 1-7. They are really struggling at the plate. They lost game#2 of the
series at USF by a score of 7-3.

The pitching has picked up to some degree. Shane McCarthy had a solid first career start for Seton Hall. Look for good things from this kid moving forward.

The offense is stuck in the mud right now. Some of the team's best hitters from last season are off to some tough starts. The team batting average is under .200. They are striking out at almost 10 times per game. The weather is a factor and they have faced some excellent pitching, but it's time to pick it up. They'll be in Florida for the next week and they should turn the corner.

A Seton Hall team started 0-9 a few years back and finished at 38-15 according to one of their players. So all is not lost yet.

We usually start slowly. The good news is that we play a lot of games and the record can change dramatically as you point out.

Tough to play teams with weather advantages, it's all about the conference record.
