Can we get three teams in the Sweet Sixteen? I guess SJU best possible for an Elite 8. It could be tough for them to advance to
the Final 4 because of free throw shooting. They may be able to overpower teams. The former Hall PG is going to be tough to handle for some of those schools.

Good showing . Seeds aren’t great ofc, but getting back to 5/11 programs in is good after last year’s circus.
Can't complain getting 5 teams in. Was the conference that much better this year that only 3 got in last year? I get bid stealers but this is all about NET.

Bid stealers IMO. One of the BE teams that got left out last year had a terrific NET. It wasn’t us - it was either Prov or SJU

SEC had a dominating year, hard to fathom 14 out of 16 teams get a bid? That's nuts. Give them credit, they invest the most money and will get the return. They dominated OOC play with an 89% overall winning %.

They got 2 teams in who went 6-12 in conference play and 4 more who went 8-10. I think they may have actually helped themselves by playing 18 conference games instead of 20. It allows those 6 teams above to get more total Wins. Oklahoma, for example was 14-1 OOC and 6-12 in SEC.

Also helps that they don't have any terrible teams that hurt the overall rating. Their 2 bottom teams had a #69 and #88 KP rating.

Definitely better teams but better for the conference to get more in, then we what happens.

The BE was much better last year from top to bottom so it is strange to me that 5 got in. Let's see how well or poorly the teams do that got in. Frankly I don't feel St Johns is in the same class as UConn was last year. I expect them to bomb against good competition in the dance.

Drake a sleeper to me here...can the D2 kids and coach play up to the P4 types under the lights. St. John's not as deep at UConn was last year. St. John's can't shoot the 3.

I want to know a team in the 3pt era that made a final four with lowest percentage.

It’s all relative to the larger, national scene and then the subjectivity of the room for the final spots.

Even with 5 flukes last year, only Seton Hall was part of the First 4 out. St. John’s and Providence weren’t close.
