If there is nothing to hide. Please tell me why Obama, Susan Rice, Hillary... and the rest of the administration stuck to the lie that the Benghazi incident was caused by that video..... for at least TWO weeks they lied, knowing full well that it was not the cause

Ahmed Abu Khatallah, the suspect captured by U.S. special forces said he was motivated in part by the anti-Islam online video made in America

There are also witness reports who said the militants were using the video to encourage people to help them attack.

Agreed. There is clearly a cover up of some sort here. Why did Susan Rice take the heat and the lead initially? Shouldn't that have been Hillary - tell me that wasn't political? The talking points don't make sense and the real truth has not come out. It has similarities to Bridgegate in that an elected or appointed official most likely did something wrong but noone has implicated the main culprit. Noone has implicated Christie but you know he is in the middle of it. Big difference is noone died there as a direct outcome of his actions - not saying they are right. I believe there was some sort of deal that was cut and the deal went bad and the CIA and State Dept had a role and it went bad - just my opinion. But something smells when you have an aggressive campaign of half truths coming out to tell the story and the folks who should have been telling it were no where to be found. Hillary should have been front and center there as the Sec of State and should have been doing the talking but she was being protected. Now the emails are most likely gone so the approach worked to a T but something is not quite right and no matter what party it's simply wrong and another example of the American people being played for fools by another Govt with blood on their hands and who think the electorate is stupid.

The administration said in no uncertain terms that the Benghazi attack was CAUSED by the video... not used as an after thought by the militants to attack.

They (the administration ) were trying their hardest to get the facts to fit their narrative.

That is just not accurate.

Rice said there was a protest which began because of the video which extremeists joined with heavy weapons.

"But soon after that spontaneous protest began outside of our consulate in Benghazi, we believe that it looks like extremist elements, individuals, joined in that effort with heavy weapons of the sort that are, unfortunately, readily now available in Libya post-revolution. And that it spun from there into something much, much more violent"

We also have Ahmed Abu Khatallah in custody who was there that day who says that they were motivated by the video, and witness accounts who said the extremeists were using the video to encourage people to join them.

From everything I have read, it sounds like the extremists were prompted by the protests in Cairo.

My point is that the administration will say anything to fit their narrative. They were saying that it was the video that caused the demonstrations ..... the facts seemed to show otherwise and they later begrudgingly call it an extremist attack.

I understand your point, but on day one they talked about the extremists that attacked. Is it really a stretch to think that the timing of the attacks has something to do with the video after they saw what was happening in Cairo, and especially since the extremists were actually saying that it was in repsonse to the video?

Did we try to make ourseleves look better? Of course just like every single administration has done and will continue to do. I just think the witch hunt here is getting a little ridiculous.
