Bobby Hurley not gonna say how he really feels

Maybe I am recalling incorrectly, but I always remembered Bobby being super competitive, but also a cool headed floor leader for Duke. I guess that did not translate to his coaching career.
I guess the real question is, who is the real hothead when it comes to coaching: Danny, Bobby or their father?

I think he's actually being really restrained, he warned them what not to ask, feeling don't mean sh*t. He is basically biting tongue.
I think Bobby, given his talent and command of the game, always felt more in control when he played. That is, his direct influence on the outcome was greater then than it is now as a coach.
Danny, though quite a good player, was not hang-the-number-from-the-rafters-at-Duke good, and yet his older brother was. I think this was a source of great frustration to him and so he got the reputation as a hothead. It continued as a coach, but I think he's learned (or at least we have seen) that it all becomes much easier to overlook when you win. Look at the legions of people who see no wrong in the career of Bob Knight. Different era, for sure, and in no way am I saying that Dan Hurley = Bob Knight. The latter was a sociopath; the former is a hothead who also treats people exceedingly well in other walks of his life - not selectively, but in the way that doesn't have helpless, low-level university staff fearing for their safety.
