Bye Bye Elliot Engel

Kentucky has officially said they won’t have any more numbers until next Tuesday. Booker has pulled ahead of Bloodbath McGrath once some numbers started coming in from Louisville yesterday. Still only at 12% reporting. So excited for Booker...an inspirational candidate hopefully punching through at just the right time in his state w/the demand for change in their corrupt police force. The anger around Breonna Taylor seems to have galvanized the Dem electorate. The turnout #’s so far on the Repub side of the primary are troubling for Booker (or McGrath) in November. Eager to see the final tally.

Btw, those cops that killed Taylor have still not been arrested. But hooray one was finally fired over 3 months later! Disgusting.
 
Taylor's boyfriend fired the first shots. Do you think the police weren't going to fire back? C'mon. A tragedy, but not criminal.

So when they barge in and say something like, "POLICE! SHOW ME YOUR HANDS!" the guy didn't understand it? Got it.

If someone busts down your door in the middle of the night are you going to crouch and start shooting or wait and see if they identify themselves as cops?

If the police bust down your door, they don't stay quiet. They identify themselves immediately as police.

Look these cops already filed a garbage police report in the incident...there is no body cam because of plain clothes operation, the bf gun was legal/licensed...its a he said he said scenario...saw that neighbors said police did not ID themselves or made it known that there is a warrant

So it's garbage when it doesn't fit your narrative, got it. How would the neighbors have known whether the police ID'd themselves or not?

Did you read the incident report? Local news agencies reported on what neighbors heard...are they all msm too?

The outright ban of no-knock raids is idiotic. The reason for no-knock raids is when police are going to be raiding a residence when it is known that suspects have Or are known to have weapons. Otherwise, police can be sitting ducks while the residents get their weapons.

The situation that happened was tragic Louisville. Did the police announce themselves ? Big question. But even if they did not and were fired upon, they were confronted with deadly force and had the right to fire back. This is not a criminal act unless there is some sort of negligent homicide law in Kentucky and the police did not announce their presence. Otherwise, this is a civil suit. But not criminal.

That’s just crazy. Someone forcibly enters my home, they’re going down. Shouting “We’re the police!!” is supposed to make me automatically believe them? That’s tantamount to suicide for me. Cops aren’t the only ones who can and will shout “Freeze, police!!!”

Sadly it appears Charles Booker narrowly lost to McGrath. I think it stands around 6000 votes right now. I read someone's take that time ran out for him, meaning if the primary was a few weeks later this summer, the wave he was riding would have put him over the top. As it stands, he cut a 30 pt lead while being massively outspent by the corporate candidate. Good news for 2022, as it sounds like he will run again for the Dem nom to go up against another hypocrite criminal pig in Rand Paul. Justice Dems & the rest of the progressive coalition will be firmly behind him early on next time, with AOC's massive $ egg def. being amassed for races exactly like this.

The turnout #'s seem to show McGrath will lose, but I'd love to be wrong, as miserable a candidate as she is, of course we'd all still love her over Mitch. Maybe this bland attempt at the rural voters will actually work in this case.

The take down that police use in a raid is unmistakable. First, it is done in the early morning hours. They use flash bangs to disorient anyone who is in there. If anyone is firing back at them at that time sleeps with a weapon in their hand in the first place.

Sorry, SPK, if the police raid your house, you will be more worried not dirtying your tighty whites than trying to go grab your gun.
