Spk he governed a blue state for 8 years. He met dems at the table in the state house to accomplish needed items. Every other candidate comes from a traditional red state or is a business person.
Every other candidate running for president talks about actually being president. Not Christie, he only talks about revenge against Trump.

I am not sure you are being sarcastic or not. But, the market is in better shape than when Trump left. Investments have been great except for last year. That loss was made up for and more. I have no idea what you are talking about but the economy is doing very well in tough times. It looks like Inflation has been brought under control without a recession and an unemployment rate of 3.5%. Just look around the world to see how great our economy is doing compared to everyone else.

It's plain to see that Christie is being paid to get body shots on Trump. This isn't a real attempt to win the nomination.
I don't get the Christie hate on here. He's one of the very few to have the courage to call out Trump's nonsense.
If your 401K hasn't performed in the last 3 years , I suggests changing your asset allocation and hire someone who knows what they are doing since it appears you have lost out. MAGA had zero positive effect. Don't know where you reside but you may have lost all of your SALT deduction under MAGA which might put pressure on your investment decisions in your 401k.

I won't speak for anyone else, but he's clearly in it as a paid hitman. I just don't know why anyone would think someone who supports Trump would be swayed by that. So it's possible to be someone like me who doesn't want to see Trump as the nominee but also realizes Christie is what he is. Frankly, he squandered his 8 years as governor by continually missing the mark on getting things done with a precision attack versus a sawed off shotgun.
Isn’t speaking truth to the power and lies of Trump the most presidential thing you can do? Especially compared to 99% of the lemmings that are running for second place and not to offend the leader.
Btw, saw Christie with Scaramuccio where he was actually talking issues. Like cutting the deficit, governmental waste, the border etc. what Christie doesn’t involve himself in is the culture wars. So those issues aren’t news worthy or sexy. I’m not a Christie supporter but he is the best the Republicans have. Too bad no one is listening to him. But he may go down in history for speaking the truth. And that’s more admirable than the rest of the pack.

He has no chance to get the nomination. He is there to bully the bully...that's it. He will take on Trump on the debate stage and exit the race shortly after the first few primaries.

To be fair to Christie, most of the questions thrown at him are about Trump. That’s the stuff that the media wants to focus on because he’s the only one taking those shots and it’s more attention grabbing then his stance on the budget etc. He's pretty good when he speaks on the other issues.

Right now it has to be. Our dumb-downed society at large doesn't care about what you'll do 18 months from now. Just the way it is. Right now, your average cable news viewer/headline scanner is looking for entertainment and attention-grabbing headlines. It's what the media has turned political races and debates into. It isn't about substance, unfortunately.
Would I like him to talk about what he'll actually do if elected? Yes. But I'm not (and those of us who comment on this board) the average person who isn't thinking about the election right now. Christie has to appeal to primary voters and the only way for him to do that right now is to carve out this lane that's vastly different than the other candidates.
Hmm doesn’t a President take an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution? I think he is doing exactly that by speaking the truth about Trump.
None of the other candidates have a chance. What is their purpose? To genuflect to the Orange god?
I still think this is right, that no one else has a chance. Christie used his combative style and he was able to take down Marco Rubio last time. He's burned any bridges he used to have with Trump so he's gonna try to give him the Rubio treatment. I don't think it will work for Christie this time, but I hope it will at least be entertaining.
Interesting to dig into these polls and see what they're saying. DeSantis may be a stiff, but it's telling that his "fun" favorability deficit to Trump is almost exactly his overall deficit in the poll, despite being slightly more "likable." These voters want a "strong leader," who "gets things done" and is "fun," no matter what the indictments say. Sounds like a party electorate who's ready to embrace an authoritarian.

You criticize Christie for not having a chance and his sole purpose is to take shots at Trump. I'm still waiting for you to define the purpose of every other Republican candidate. We all know they have no shot. So Please Do Tell.
I’ve said on multiple occasions that I anticipate that the Republican candidates will consolidate behind the number two candidate early on - before Super Tuesday. I don’t know who that will be but it won’t be Christie, Whoever has the momentum and money behind them.

I was law enforcement for 27 years. I’m trying to understand your take here but I can’t. Did he support the Capitol Police on Jan 6th? Does he support our intelligence agencies? Does he support the FBI? Does he support DOJ? The answers in NO.
He supports whatever helps him at the time and opposes who and whatever doesn’t back him 100%.
He has no loyalty except to himself. How many of the people who worked closely with him now would never support him? Mattis, Kelly, Barr the list goes on and on. You think that is a coincidence?
