Sat a few rows behind the Hudson Catholic bench for their afternoon game with Maret from Washington, DC .

Quinerly and King did not play well . You would not think they are top 200 based upon their play on Friday . King appeared disinterested . Gave little effort on defense . In the third quarter Mariniello pulled him and was yelling about his lack of defense . On offense he didn't do much except make a few slam dunks on passes behind the defense .

JQ missed shot after shot and some were bad misses . He tried to drive the lane and had at least two of his shots blocked . His outside shot was off . His passing was the only positive aspect of his game . In watching JQ and Muhammad it is apparent that JQ lacks the athleticism of his backcourt teammate .

Muhammad was impressive . He showed the poise and skill that JQ lacked today . He never forced a shot like JQ and took what the defense gave him whether it was a drive to the basket or an outside jumper . He has a nice form on his jump shot and gets good elevation unlike JQ .

It's difficult to judge a High School player on one game and especially when that one game is the season opener .

Wherever King and JQ go to college they better hit the weight room . Their arms and legs are very thin . Muhammad is more physically developed .

The big man for Maret, Luka Garza , destroyed the Hudson frontline . Rodriquez, the Hudson center , and King fouled out trying to guard Garza . Garza is a nice 6'10 center going to Iowa .

I would have liked to stay for the Patrick game but had to drive back to Naples for a quick dinner and then drive to the airport for an evening flight to NJ . From 80 degrees to the 20s .

I spoke briefly to a Floridian after the Hudson game wearing a Seton Hall t-shirt . Did not notice any Hall staff members .
