NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Sophomore guard Isaiah Coleman has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season after scoring a game-high 23 points and grabbing eight rebounds in the Seton Hall men's basketball team's 69-68 overtime victory over UConn on Saturday afternoon.
Coleman came up with the key offensive rebound and assist on the game-tying three-point basket that sent the game to overtime and he played 42 of the game's 45 minutes.
Coleman also came up with a steal that led to two made free throws that trimmed Seton Hall's deficit to one with nine seconds left in the extra session. The performance against the Huskies marked Coleman's seventh 20-point game against BIG EAST competition this season.
Coleman currently ranks fifth in the BIG EAST in conference play averaging 17.8 points per game and he ranks 10th in rebounding averaging 6.3 boards per contest. Coleman, St. John's RJ Luis, Jr., Xavier's Zach Freemantle, Georgetown's Micah Peavy and Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner are the only BIG EAST players to rank in the top 10 in scoring and rebounding in league play.
