Theory is you get kids out of prep, perhaps those you wouldn’t have gotten in the past but are now more attainable because better programs or programs with more resources are hitting up the portal more regularly, and then you develop those kids to the point where they will stay as long as you are remotely competitive in the NIL department. That they don’t necessarily have a foot out the door or chase the highest dollar because they like the staff, school, etc and believe long term staying is best for their career, because they all think they are playing somewhere professionally.
It’s not a crazy thought, but that’s where Sha and the staff come in to identify, develop, and retain these kids by making them think the Hall is the best option even if not offering the most $.
