I had my first drone experience as it flew right over our heads while in Colts Neck last night. At first, I was the one saying its a plane due to its normal flashing lights as well as headlights, and then as it went over our heads it was clearly a large, non-commercial drone.
Now with that said, I very much suspect they know exactly what these are and make of that what you will.

eh. the problem is you have social media creating an unneeded frenzy. like politicians going on there and saying blatant lies like they are from iran.
Saw a theory which made sense to me that they could be testing stealth drone tech. By making the public aware of drone activity, we will be actively looking for them and they will be able to tell what they can get away with if they fly the stealth ones in areas that get no reports.
Obviously no idea if that's true or not, but it would at least make sense to the lack of response.
this has always been one of my theories. back in 2013 when i saw one of these it was on the night of a meteor shower. we were out looking at the sky at night.
last week was also a major meteor shower. generally though they can't understand what is stealth if they don't test it with humans.

It was a bit unsettling but not scary. Really think these are ours and they are lying to us. No idea what they are doing, perhaps a test, perhaps looking for something they don't want us to know they are looking for.

Based on that, yes, Trump will tell the American people after he takes office.
There is now a dedicated NJ Drones subreddit with 13K members and counting. Most of the posts with photos and video are being debunked. I've read through a lot of these posts and the result is typically misidentified aircraft. A few posts of actual drones have been shown but they look like the type of quadcopters you can buy from DJI. I have one of them myself.
There continue to be posts coming in even in the last hour saying that the drones are everywhere tonight, the responses are people begging them to take photos/video and then nothing happens.
For you folks who have seen these drones yourself, please record it and post it to the subreddit. I'm having a hard time concluding that this isn't anything other than a mass delusion/hysteria.
For an example of where this is heading, we are at the point where we now have the Daily Mail blaming cold and flu season on the mysterious drones.
Also, did I read correctly that multiple people in this thread have friends/family members who work for the NSA and are telling them stuff? That doesn't seem like a particularly good thing for a National Security Agency employee to be doing, if I'm being honest.

Brother in law, but he doesn’t really share anything he does outside of a cryptography competition they have for fun outside of work. Went to a ceremony at their headquarters once which was cool, and they had a talk for the families there about how frustrating it will be that they can’t talk about what they do, and if we knew everything, we wouldn’t go outside.
I joke around with him from time to time knowing he can’t really talk about anything. I asked about the drones, but didn’t really believe his response which was that it’s not us and they’re looking into it and I said ok cool, it’s aliens.
My nephew has said the same line, he will sometimes talk about things already in the news. For example the 20,000 Chinese Nationalist that crossed our Southern Border about 8 months ago. We talked about this about one month after it happened at a family outing. Most people are numb over this stuff and most Dems don't even believe it happen. No one knew why so many at one time crossed our southern border, but this was on the news.
Most people cannot put the pieces together or don't even try. We all knew it was a major concern 8 months ago, if you were the current administration you would not want to tell your citizens that the open border has caused the drone problem. To make matters worse they came here illegally and we do not know where they are living. I'm not saying that's the case for sure but it is definitely a possibility, just like it might be our own government, or for all we UFO's. The drone sightings near me have almost disappeared in recent days. As you said in an earlier post we might wake up one day and it will be an old story that no one is talking about. The many hovering white lights with flashing side lights are gone as far as I can see the last few nights. Maybe they moved to another neighborhood or this will be a non story soon.

Hall85 did the implying. He posted that Trump won't say anything now because it's the place of the current administration.
I am saying straight out that based on Hall85's post, I expect Trump to say something after the inauguration and he is the President.

It’s not clear trump knows if you read what he actually said. But he’s confident the administration knows, that’s for sure. And even if he knows, he’s correct in saying it’s Biden admin’s decision - for now at least

I agree. Hall85 is the king of implying. I couldn't find a transcript of the press conference so all I have to go on is what he posted.
I reached out to a friend who was formerly in intelligence at a fairly high-level, who had a particularly relevant subspecialty. His lack of a reply spoke volumes.

My guess is that it's because the drones are us. We knew where they would be flying and they were allowed over restricted areas.
Hobbyists have been joining in on the nightly activity and they are not allowed over restricted areas.
I could be wrong, but the only thing that makes sense to me is that this is tests by the government.
Testing new technology or testing the public reaction. They could also use this as a way to ban personal drones altogether since they do pose a risk.
Yeah, it could be any of those options. The confusion and mistrust it's created is terrible. What harm would have it been to say that they are testing out new military drone capabilities over populated areas?

Depends on what they are testing and if the "mystique" is part of the test.
If they are testing our awareness, response or if we can see the stealth ones for example, telling us would be counter productive.
If they are going to use the mystery as a way to ban drones, then telling us definitely doesn't help the cause either.
But it gets back to loss of public trust and confusion. And the result is that it’s spawns all these conspiracy theories.

I have no idea what they are doing ….i do know they have created mass amounts of confusion and mistrust with the public. Even the politicians on both sides are confused and are offering conflicting messages.
Bad enough public faith in our government agencies is waning….the way the administration has handled this has only made it worse.
If it is the case that they are not telling us for a specific reason, I’m sure they thought of that. It might even be a part of their test.

I might agree but this administration has failed time and time again on messaging (ie, inflation is “transitory “, the border is secure, the President is on his game, etc.) so to me this is just another example of being tone deaf.

You can be pretty dense sometimes. They don’t need to provide an exact reason. Just say it’s a government test it all would’ve gone away.
Watching the morning news on NewsNation and it was the second story and went on for 20 minutes so it’s not faded at all. Now it’s all about restricting multiple areas around the state. It’s just not going away And it just feeds more distrust in government

govt trust isn't changing in anyone because of these drones. i know its hard to fathom you dont have a golf friend who can tell you what's going on, so naturally it must be a botch job.
