I think you are right, the mistrust came from having a president in office who was failing for 3 years and being hidden from the public. What's even crazier is they were planning another 4 years before the drugs didn't work during the debate.

A man sits on the edge of his bed. He picks up the phone receiver on the nightstand and looking at a scrap of paper in his other hand, starts tapping (taptaptap)
(Female Voice): Good evening this is the FBI Tip hotline. My name is Vanessa, how may I help you?
(Male Voice): Oh thank goodness. My name is SHallguy2. I was just pulling into my driveway when I saw a Drone hovering very close over my house. It was a big Drone and I feel it made a threatening gesture at me. I am scared.
(Vanessa): I am very sorry you had this negative experience. I don't have an exact reason but this is part of a government test.
(SHallguy2): I am so relieved. My faith in government has been restored. Thank you for your calming words. My therapist says I have conspiracytheoryitis so there is no telling what I would have come up with if you hadn't calmed my nerves.
(Vanessa): I am very happy to help. Will you need any other assistance this evening?
(SHallguy2): Not that will be all. Thank you so much!
(Vanessa): You are very welcome. There will be a brief survey at the conclusion of this call. Have a wonderful rest of your evening.
The phone clicks and an automated voice begins, "On a scale of one to five with five being the best..."
(SHallguy2): Oh what a relief. (Suddenly, his brow furrows) Wait, you don't have an exact reason? What the heck is that? Vanessa come back! I have more questions. VANESSA!

A very weak explanation from the president. Who was operating them? What were they "researching?" What were the "various other reasons?"

it was not strong - was not expecting more but hoped for more. It’s maybe (not def) BS - if it is it’s national security he’s not going to divulge that info for several reasons, like Biden.
Obviously we’re not going to get details on FAA or other government approved “research” unless it’s something extremely benign. “Other reasons” if government driven, won’t find out.
Curious what if anything Trump learned that Biden didn’t.
….they are supposedly releasing info on JFK and MLK-I highly doubt there’s anything of surprise there and whatever it is it’s been scrubbed. Not to change subject

I believe stories will start breaking this year regarding UAP’s. The interview on News nation with Jake Barber was very revealing. Long interview but truly amazing info, especially the sinotic telepathy area of interview. If you watch the interview it starts with a long advertisement you need to skip forward.
