It is absolutely not in poor taste to discuss where a ship will come from on an internet message board, and the issue has been discussed many times before. Its one thing if there was no basis, but Willard is ACTIVELY recruiting a full position... come on.

To figure a kid is not good enough to stay before you see him play a second is not a nice thing to be saying. And hoping our fans gave our players the benefit of the doubt till proven otherwise isn't wishing for that much. We all understand the facts behind him being here and his HS career. But we can hold our tongue. It really isn't needed for us to speculate on where the spots are coming from. We know the staff thinks something is gonna happen due to our recruiting.

Strictly speaking you are correct although I think most everyone here can follow the line of speculation without being specific. The real question is who do you want to be when you grow up? There are worse things than following the advice of Seton75

I remember katsikis hitting one three in each of the 89 ncaa games. I can't remember how he helped us in that great season. Anyone remember?

Don't remember Katsikis' role during the regular season but he hit two huge 3s in the Tournament-- one late in the 1st half vs UNLV to begin the blowout which continued in the 2nd half and the other late in the 1st half vs Duke when The Hall was coming back from 18 down early. I remember Billy Packer as Greene was bringing the ball up on that semi fast break: "He's got Katsikis...." PJ gave Nick only 3-4 minutes in the first half of both those games to do one thing: bury a 3. I think Nick was a soph that year and then left the program.

Fast forward to today-- perhaps Soffer can grow into such a role.
