Free Throws

During this season, free throw shooting was a disaster. However, last night the free throw shooting was OUTSTANDING. Shooting 24-28 for 85% The team didn't shoot particularly well from the field 43%. It only attempted 10 3 pointers but for a great shooting percentage of 50%. But although it is not as sexy to talk about like Ish's defense or IW's assists, this to me was just as important as the defense. Free throw shooting can get you back into a game or bury an opponent. Great job but the team especially Delgado shooting 5-6.

Delgado looks so relaxed and pure at the line. Must have worked very hard to make this much improvement.

I just remember that game years ago against Villanova that we lost in the last few minutes because we couldn't hit the ocean from the side of a boat on the foul line. We had been up by double digits too. You have to make those freebies!

This particular team is going to be at the free throw line many times this season, so yes we can win a nice handful of games with great foul shooting.
