Game Thread: Pirates vs. Providence

The contrasting images that spoke volumes to me: PC (forget who it was) made two free throws. Entire bench clapping. Dre Davis made two free throws a few minutes later and not a soul reacted on the SH bench. Tells you all you need to know about who wanted it more.
I dont agree. I think our bench was stunned and a bit demoralized.

No heart, no desire. Providence wanted it more. Starts at the top. Absolutely zero energy from the coach on the sideline tonight.

Now one loss to Creighton becomes a soon to be three game losing streak. 6-1 to 6-4 after they lose at Marquette Saturday. A once promising home stand ends in a very disappointing 1-2 as the Hall begins a drift back towards the bubble.
Had to avoid the January swoon at all costs. With the CU game and the injury to KR it might be hard to do.

Felt like this was the first game in a while where the opposing team out toughed seton hall and imposed themselves on us.

Seton Hall was up 10 in the second half. Don't care who's out, you can't blow that lead on your home court. That was a disgusting final 10 minutes.

I fear this is the loss that will keep Seton Hall out of the NCAA Tournament when all is said and done. Just has that overarching feeling about it. This three game home stand went from promising to what might end up being a season-killing failure.
Mr. Gloom and Doom.

I will give wushu credit fir having balls. He averages 7 shots per game shoots 38% but tonight with Richmond out he throws up 14 with no males and insures we lose.Sha will say he plays defense who cares when you go 0-14.

Nah he’s spot on. This is the type of game tournament teams win and could end up being a game that haunts if we don’t get in.

We've seen it before. This feels like a South Florida 2012 moment.
