1. Starts w a healthy dre. Hes gotta take some minutes from femi and maybe kc to get some buckets and emd these 6 min scorimg droughts.
2. Tyrese- gotta stay on the court. U pick up cheap fouls amd we are in trouble.
3. Kadary- pull the trigger man. The shot looks good but ur wild drives and layups off the backboard are instant turnovers. He gets in the lane so well w the cross over bit u hold ur breath. Hes got a 8ft jumper/floater everytime. Get kadary in the post!!!! Hes got 6 inches over every pg, pull the bigs away from the paint. Put dawes and tray on the 3 pt line on kadarys side if the help comes.
4. Jamir- anything is something. Maybe dribble handoffs for 3s. Its much easier to get set amd hes a terrible off the dribble shooter.

Time to spark offense because the defense only strategy doesnt work for long. I get defense travels but these offensive droughts are miserable to watch

I don’t know if a leopard changes its spots, but simply reducing the mental mistakes would be a huge outcome improvement. The second an inevitable slump comes within a game everyone immediately goes to playing one on one and we make it worse. Look at our last 50 minutes of basketball. A train wreck. When they feel that compulsion to force a play they should pass the ball; channel it that way.

Holloway has had trouble getting through to them on this point or designing it. We’ve talked about the sloppiness all year. What’s concerning now is it was also an issue at St. Peter’s so now that he’s made the jump a level with more skilled players, the fact it’s ongoing is cause for adjustment somewhere.

Further, here are how Sha’s teams have performed in offensive TO% in his career as a HC. Amazingly consistent. You can survive with numbers like this if you do other things well to counteract, yes, but this is the trend.

Seton Hall, 2022-23 = 20.7, 308th
Saint Peter’s, 2021-22 = 20.1, 288th
Saint Peter’s, 2020-21 = 21.8, 313th
Saint Peter’s, 2019-20 = 23.4, 348th
Saint Peter’s, 2018-19 = 23.3, 346th

So my point on femi is still correct. A slightly better marcus toney el. Why is dribbling upnthe court amd tryimg to create. Thats not his game ao tell hime to give it to Al or kadary

This was a very glossed over fact when he got the job.

Sha lets non ball handlers handle the ball and try to make plays way too much. Know ur role

We are back doing the dumb things we had stopped doing. So many stupid passes and over penetration.

And omg. Was gu just awful. Lots of bad ball played by us recently.

And the offense looks like how a team might play in the 10th OT. Gives lethargic a bad name

Can only pitch so many shut-outs. Need some offense. Dre is sorely needed, and Harris and Trey need to continue to play well and score more.

Richmond needs to be much more assertive shooting from outside, not just on his drives to the basket.

This is actually a GREAT move…If you have players capable of carrying it out.

Sadly…We do not.

But if/when we do it creates position-less basketball, which makes it more difficult for the defense to identify and how to defend.

But…we’ve got a ways to get there

you can tell sha is going mad too. hes been there before. he breaks through to them for a but the reality is we have everyone elses misfit toys for a reason.

he has more skilled players than st peters. i think. theyre not smarter thats for sure.

I do not think it is a coincidence that Opponents go on scoring runs when Harris and Jackson enter the Games

Dre Davis is a big help here. The team looks a bit gassed to me and he’s a guy that gives minutes, is physical, and provides much-needed offensive production. Davis is shooting .511 from 2PT, .412 from 3PT, and .900 from the FT line in conference play. Granted he’s missed so much time so the attempts are lower, plus his turnover rate is a problem and significantly higher than his time at Louisville, much like everyone else’s on the team. 🙄

But overall this season he’s at 9.1 PPG and 3.6 RPG in 19.2 MPG with an offensive rating of 102.4, trailing only Samuel (110.4) and Jackson (102.8). He is .532 from 2PT, .353 from 3PT, and .863 from the FT line. He also has a good defensive rebounding %.

This is a big addition to a team that is so bad offensively.

I think the team is buying into Sha's thinking..to share the ball.. but forcing their passes, instead of creating space for a pass and leads to turn overs.
Turn overs will kill you with 4 point turn arounds.

After 10 turnovers in the first half, cleaned it up a bit and only had 4 in the second half. KC alone had 4, as he tries to thread the needle too much.

We desperately need another outside shooter in the lineup - Dre, Trey, Harris (if the latter can find his shot).

Agreed. I still believe that Femi should not completely abandon the three ball. His numbers are not great, but he has made some., It will keep the opponents honest., No idea why he isn’t better from three or the free throw line? He has good form. Has to be one thing slightly off. He needs to shoot with conviction and focus. Not saying he should take too many, but many times he is wide open. TDavis has a good looking shot and with his length, he could be a big contributor down the road. Excited about his future at The Hall.

If you look at their high major numbers only, Femi is a better career 3-point shooter than Jamir Harris ( 32% vs. 31.7%). He's also a better career 3-point shooter than Dre Davis, Samuel, and Ndefo.

On a normal team, I'd be hesitant to green light Odukale. On this team, let it fly man.

No spacing to pass because defenses have 2 players in the starting lineup they don't have to guard from outside.

I agree Femi needs to take a at least 1 or 2 wide open 3s during the game, to keep teams honest. But really we need another shooter in the starting lineup, or Femi needs to split time with Dre or Trey. Offense against better teams that much harder to come by.
