Great Win!!!

Forgotten in all the craziness- Godswill making 2 FTs in crunch time including going glass. How huge was that?
You are right…but did you see those free throws? Lol

One, a floater that clanged around and went in. The other…a bank shot!

lol

We were stunned both went in…but then again…we were due some good fortune.

UConn…. Not in our house!!!

They played well and the stat line was impressive with free throws and turnovers. Fantastic trapping of inbound plays at crunch time. Something is missing from this year's UConn team.
yeah. like a pg. better center play. and today the shoiting was bad cept for that spurt when the build the lead at the end if regulation.

Fans showed up at the St John’s game. And that was over about 2 minutes in
so what's your point? Try being being positive, it's not a good team, but a great win. simple as that. I showed up for many years and that was a great come from behind effort and was wonderful to see.. Nice to see Dylan blessing after the win. That's good

The poster implied, essentially, the reason we haven’t been winning is because fans haven’t shown up. That’s just not true. Sure, the attendance has been pathetic for some games, but let’s stop blaming those who are getting screwed as it is half the time by this pay for play grift.

A 35% FT shooter. Luck was on our side today. A banked FT and a banked 3 by Coleman.

Pardon me , I thought you posted that the game with st johns was over in two minutes for those who show'ed up. I did see the crowd support today which was great for me as I live out of the country. and as a past ticket holder for 20 yrs I do miss our crowds whether large or small.

  • Love that UConn has now lost 4 straight years at the rock.
  • We watched Godswill grow up right in front of our eyes today. The kid has a CBB future.
  • Good for Wusu, a small redemption story in what has been a tough season.
  • Great job by the fans to still show up and bring a BE home court atmosphere.
  • The defensive was connected today, hedging on screens, switching off the ball, and challenging shots at the rim.
  • For a coach that supposedly has lost the locker room, his players fought like dogs today and played down to the final seconds without any quit.
  • Would love to see them press more throughout the game. It tends to lead to positive results.
  • They aren’t world beaters but a different team when healthy and the rotation shortened.
They can’t turn the season around, but hopefully they can build off of this for the remainder of the year and take some momentum in the Garden.

Today made you feel proud to be a Pirate. Hopefully there are more days like this in our future. DAMN you NIL / Transfer portal for making me fear the worst for my beloved Seton Hall.

How the hell did we win this game with everything that’s happened this year. Great job by Sha and his staff and of course a great job by the players.
At Butler, at Providence at Georgetown.
The team was getting better, but then the injuries were brutal for a team with no margin for error.

We are still not good, but we are not as bad as we have been without Jenkins, Wusu and Middleton. If we can get a full roster, we can hand out a few losses to teams the rest of the way.

Their last two teams had NBA players at Center. And an NBA player at PG.

This team doesn’t.

Although their two headed C monster is certainly solid and way better than what we have. It’s not Klingan and Sanogo.

Diarra healthy isn’t at Newton’s level, and he was hobbled against us (kudos to him for getting through it because Hurley was clearly trying to avoid playing him at all). Mahaney is in Hurley’s dog house - hasn’t worked out and the talented freshman isn’t ready for the level Uconn plays at.

That’s the difference. Because even with him slumping I still love Karajan. McNeeley is a lottery pick stud and Ball can shoot the heck out of it.
Agree, but Godswill outplayed those guys yesterday.

Mahaney was really impacted by ball pressure from Wusu and Dual.

Is it a good to have your coach state that this was the first game that we felt like we had a home court advantage?
Players notice and so do recruits.

For one thing the fans showed up. Something they haven't done all year.
Holloway said first game all year felt like a home court advantage..
He also correctly noted the team has given the fans very little to cheer about at home. It is a 2 way street.

Hopefully, this game brings the students back a bit. Students should be a constant.

Bingo. The season started miserably with Fordham, Hofstra, and arguably one of our worst home losses even in the drubbing freaking Monmouth gave us. In the BE we were a 1-12 team. Good Lord. Yeah, you're going to get like 2-3k when you're like this.

Was glad at least we had a game were the fans showed and the place felt like the last 10 years again. Nice. Another reminder of what this Administration robbed Sha and us of this year. Gross.

If they can win another couple of games it could also increase the SHU fan turnout at The BigEast Tournament. Let's see if the UConn win creates an upswing in play. At minimum we can now look forward to the remaining games.

Agreed. Such a quick turnaround on the road at Marquette however

The 1-point loss only dropped UCONN's NET 4 spots, from #31 to #35 today. Their KP is also #35. It was their second Q3 loss. They are 17-8, 9-5, and 5-4 Q1, 4-2 Q2, 3-2 Q3, 5-0 Q4. They've beaten so many good teams: Baylor, Texas, Gonzaga, Marquette, Creighton.

Hey we jumped 13 spots to #211, woo hoo!!

the student section sucked last yr and is incredibly bad this yr. i know we arent that good. but bad high schools have more students watching them.

UConn will likely take a hit in the rankings and could drop out of the top 25..
Understatement ha

We are “so bad” Jerry palm said on tv this is a kind of loss (along with their current up and down nature) that could put them on a road out of the NCAAT

And good. Screw them. That’s why certain posters saying a few weeks ago it won’t matter if we go winless at this point are so lost

Maybe they can make another 50 paragraph post or podcast about it

The biggest "play" of the game..... Godswill hitting 2 FT's to give us a fighter's chance...
he was hitting them at a 25% clip... that and the improbable endings of regulation ( his missed dunk ..leading to DAW's trey) and OT.... the cherry on top... Scotty's putback...."God's will" was with us.

Didn’t you say a few weeks ago that it didn’t matter if we went winless for the rest of the be season? Sooo…..????

Great commentary

he makes that dunk and we are history. unless uconn collapses bfw are they in. imo. some of the critical plays
a banked in 3
5 sec call on inbounds
missed dunk
we get the loose ball
zay sees daw and passes to him.
dylan makes it
2 crazy fts by an awful ft shooter
we steal the inbounds
scotty tips in his miss

only missing a half court make like the ky win in msg...they only game i can think of that compares to this one

I actually thought of the Oklahoma game at MSG that we lost because we suddenly forgot how to inbound the ball. This was much more enjoyable. I have no idea if we can sustain it the rest of the way, but I was glad to be there.

DAW drawing a foul on three-pointer and hits them all!
