GUNS

I have no problem with background checks that involve criminal checks. mental health screenings, and other (radical Islam, etc.). The overwhelming majority of guns are sold this way (78-86% of all guns).

Most of these shootings would not have been prevented with this kind of screening.

Yes I agree stronger gun laws would not have prevented MOST of these shootings, but if it would have prevented SOME of them it would have been worthwhile to enact stronger laws in this regard.

Do you think SOME deaths are also prevented because of the current gun laws? The answer is certainly yes but you never hear about them.

seems like the appropriate thing to say when two radical Islamics murder innocent U.S. citizens.

If the bombs they planted have gone off first killing everyone would your NRA angle matter?
what planted bombs? one little pipe bomb they left with intent? they had the 3 way pipe bomb that didn't go off via the remote control from the car and a bunch of fabricated explosives in a bag at their rental in the garage; the semi-automatic weapons did far more damage because you don't need to be a good marksman just spray bullets

and i read a linda stassi article today in the nydn, i have reason to believe that the husband had real work place grievances with one particular person (the transplant from nj) who was killed

"Little" pipe bomb? What if that killed 14 people?

You're really gonna play the workplace grievance card after his wife pledged allegiance to ISIS?

How does a restaurant inspector making $50k supporting a wife and child afford an Arsenal worth tens of thousands of dollars? Pretty obvious that this was a funded terrorist attack, maybe except to you.

The FBI who is a little bit more credible than the daily news is now saying they had planned multiple attacks. What did they want to kill everybody in every workplace they ever had a job?

This is just another issue where the two broken parties can't find common ground. I am not an NRA member or supporter but you don't see NRA members shooting people up with all of these shootings. Common sense laws need to be enacted but that includes a change to the no gun zones that have created some of these soft targets. I also strongly believe schools need an armed guard to help prevent some of these shootings. No gun zones are an invitation. We have to protect our kids.

New York Daily News is a garbage paper, just look at the front page the day after this terrible attack.

He had 40K in the bank.

NY Times right there with them. Both these publications are excellent for house training a puppy. That is about the extent of their worth.
