You come out and say "I'll be back, I'm staying, I'm not leaving, etc...." And then you go against it? I hate that shit. Show some integrity.

I'm curious to see the destination.

I don't think he was showing lack of integrity. He was just answering an awkward question in the best way possible at the time. What he should have said was, 'That's none of your business." But people would have read too much into that.

Sorry, but I would have more respect for a non committal response.

Three yrs. free to play two. It was a little different when he came to SHU with his tail between his legs.

I'm glad I check out other forums from other schools to know what was really going on with sterling. Because if I had just relied on what is posted here, I would have needed to go home to change my underwear this afternoon. Instead I'm disappointed but was pretty certain this would eventually going to happen.

Let me get this straight. For years, big-time athletic program have been taking advantage of student athletes and making millions of dollars off them. So here comes a guy who makes the system work for him, and some people want to slam him? Gibbs should be congratulated. For once, the student-athlete got more out of the school than the school got out of him.

Agreed - coaches can tell recruits they are staying and they take better jobs all the time. Sterling owes SHU nothing and he should take full advantage of the system. If our program was in better shape he would have stayed.

Get a big man that can score more than 17 points in a college basketball season and maybe he stays.
