How happy is cern going to be?

You're saying what I have been saying. Desi will backup at the 4. My lineup above was an ode to what cern has been saying all year. That's why I used his name.

I hate Desi playing the 4 as much as anyone on this board. That was made clear last year. But circumstances dictate that he is going to have to play minutes there until Ish comes back.

But that would be my last resort, not starting option, and therefore something that would not be seen often.

Not sure I agree with the last resort comment. In fact unless the opposition is using two bigs with limited mobility I would go with Desi as the first backup.

No other player on the roster deserves a lot of minutes at the 4 IMO.

Looks like the board doesn't like this lineup but I will tell you that this lineup gives the greatest versatility on offense. Now you will have three guys from the perimeter DRod, IW and Singh. This opens up the lanes to drive to the basket.

Singh had a set back with the wrist. He is going to surprise the people on this board. He will finally get the minutes that he deserves.

It disrupts two positions and moves one of our best performers so far into a new spot where we all thought he should not have been last year. We have a player of very similar abilities to Ish in Nzei and this is a no-brainer imo, to sub Mike for Ish.

I like the lineup at times, and if when we play it we click, I have no issue. But I start with Mike and see how that goes.

That's all well and good and it seems that most every poster agrees. But when Nzei sits, after all he's not playing close to 40 minutes in this game, then what?

Few have offered any tangible opinions.

Desi will be the first backup option. I can't think of another who would do better.

Whitehead, Gordon, Singh, Nzei, Delgado the starting 5 at Rutgers. Huh?
