Is This the End for Trump?

Serious question... how did the other primary candidates not uncover any of this stuff about Trump?

It seems so odd that it is coming out now.

@Merge ... these are all "just words" right? That's what all the posters were saying yesterday....

4th allegation in 2 hours.... trump has trumped Slick Willy in felony accusations in one night.

Let's think of a sexually charged derogatory nickname for Trump now....

Hillary has an absolute monster of a machine behind her. Way more people than anyone else, and way more connected & dedicated people than anyone else. Unrivaled in any of the complete jokes that ran in the Republican primary (Kasich is not a joke, but his campaign was at times). I'm no conspiracy theorist, but I think her people have been doing some serious homework for a while now, and are now helping get bomb after bomb out there in the press to bury this arrogant, unqualified, moronic asshole & put the election away.

Considering she doesn't really want the election to be about policy & issues, plus Trump wouldn't allow it to be any way, driving the narrative in this way is smart campaigning when your opponent has even more baggage than you do.

The new Hillary email leaks (that are getting barely any TV coverage but the Young Turks/TYT Politics are doing a fabulous job of covering on Youtube) from her campaign show a very cushy relationship with many in the press (god forbid the journalists don't have their beloved ACCESS above all other journalistic fundamentals), so I can see there being some heavy collusion right now to get these stories out there considering no one rational wants this maniac anywhere the White House. Media bias? Maybe. But I'll take it in this case.

Heard a lot about HRC's emails on xmradio on POTUS and MSNBC from 3-430 on my drive home from work.

HRC campaign did a great job of politicking getting this stuff out tonight and only letting Trumpster Fire winning the 9am-5pm news for the day.

It's clear as day that what Bobbie said is mostly true. The Clinton Machine has been digging for a while and has probably been sitting on all this info for a long time too. Releasing the info in October gets them the biggest bang for their buck, especially when you have lots of friends in the press.

There's also a bit of a domino effect going on here too. Once the first story drops, everybody else feels safer jumping into the pool.

A 6th person in less than 3 hours... Felonies.

"Just words."

"Locker room talk."

"He always lies."

That's good. But you're a politically savvy person (Cletus in Arkansas ain't listening to POTUS Radio)
Coverage needs to be on TV, after dinner, when most casual people are paying attention, not people like all of us on this board who follow this stuff daily. At night I haven't seen anything about them until a tiny tiny bit today (and now that will be gone b/c of the new rape/groping allegations). Considering alot of the most damning stuff came out FRIDAY, that's completely unacceptable from people & organizations that purport to traffic in journalism. The Young Turks don't really, yet they immediately covered it.

At the end of all this, I really really wish we could have a wonky nat'l discussion about policy amongst all four candidates that never delves into any of this crap. These new email leaks actually get into some of that in terms of Hillary, but it will sadly be swept aside b/c the media and mass public are so giddy any time anything with SEX comes up. We're such children in this country.

It sucks that this is the case, but when it comes to sexual allegations and women, I can't put myself on a female victims shoes & when they may be comfortable accusing a man with power.

Welcome to the home stretch...daily doses of accusations and wiki drops. Just when you think it can't get any worse with these two. Almost think the result is that supporters are digging in deeper and it's turning off the few independents that are still out there. Didn't watch the second debate and will forgo the third. What's the point?

Two nights ago Chris Matthews showed an interview he had with Trump perhaps in the late 90's. Matthews asked him will He run for President. Trump answered no. You think he has problem with women ( meaning Clinton) what about me.

With Trump hesitating to answer the question posed to him three times by Anderson Cooper if he had actually done any of those things has foreshadowed what is occurring.

Btw, the creepiest thing Inhave heard is walking into the Miss Teen dressing room when 15 year olds are changing.

Trump is a slime, but excuse me for being a little skeptical about the number of the woman coming forward within the last couple of days. Wouldn't surprise me if there was some money being exchanged for their stories coming to the forefront right now. I would also be surprised if Assange was getting some cash for these drops.

This election cycle has set records for being the low of all lows. But we are starting with two candidates that have set the lowest bar for ethics and morality. And the news media is playing for ratings rather than facts and policy positions.

The women who came forward are being attacked. The same would have occurred years ago if they came forward with people saying they were just after a pay day.

I can understand not wanting to live through that type of embarrassment and humiliation. Once the first came forward, it probably makes it much easier for the rest. It's not like these women are coming out and saying Trump did something that he did not already brag about doing.

The woman that was interviewed by the NYT was on CBS this morning (claimed Trump was like an "octopus" with her on a flight 30 years ago) came across so scripted it was hard to take her as credible.

You're kind of answering why they may not have come out prior to now...

No one would have believed her against a billionaire 15, 20, 30 years ago.

We needed Trumps words on video, and 5 women coming out last night... plus video of him pointing at a 10 year old saying he will date her in 10 years... and video of him saying "if she wasn't my daughter..." about Ivanka... and women saying, plus his own words, how he would walk in to changing rooms of MISS TEEN USA and Miss America filled with naked and half naked women and 15 year old girls.

And people still don't believe these women...

Not at all. How so?

Because you are analyzing how they said something and assuming they are not credible because of how they said it... Trump is on tape describing how he treats women like this, and you fall on the side of her not being credible?

So much for bringing you two together.

85 is easily distracted. Much like Trump, he's all about appearances. If the woman was a better actress he would have been much more sympathetic

I never said Trump was credible and I'm not voting for him, but that doesn't mean I can call BS when I see it.

Look, I have three adult daughters and I've seen and taken immediate action against sexual harassment in the workplace. Absolutely no use for those that pull that crap. But when I see someone playing the card as an opportunist, they do more damage to those that have really been harassed and abused. She wasn't even a good actor.

So you and a female coworker overhear a conversation of your CEO saying they sexually assault women, and the coworker says that it happened to her.... you are going to ask her to be more convincing?

Don't go stupid on me...I've been there and it almost cost me my job, but fortunately had someone looking out for me. And yes, the CEO ended up losing his job.

Yeah, I expected you would do the right thing... Just saying that how someone says something is dependent on way too many factors. Could she be lying? Of course, but I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss her especially in light of what we heard Trump say.

I think Trump did some of these things and do not like him and never have. Did he do all of them? I'm not sure. But do I think the press and so called former accusers are piling on? Yes. But usually where there is smoke there is fire. True also for Willie and Bill Cosby but there will always be detractors. What upsets me is the press is jumping in two feet first without any corroboration of these stories (NYT???) and that is irresponsible. That is the problem with the 24 hour news cycle and what the press has become.

These latest accusations seem to come from his denial of ever doing this stuff. The girls he mistreated heard him say he never really did it. And they know what he did to them. Before that, they didnt interject themselves into the situation. But they heard him lie and jumped in. Not much different than what happened with Cosby though Cosby's crimes are way worse of true. Trump to me seems pathetic, a good looking billionaire and he is getting his kicks walking into young woman's locker rooms. Ick. How about chasing Scarlett Johanson like Harold Hughes would have done...

This pretty much explains exactly how I feel about this. I'm not defending Trump at all, but the press has taken two lousy candidates and totally derailed any semblance of having any substance on issues we should be discussing. The news is unwatchable even more so than these two clowns.

Trump said I do these things. People asked him "really?" and said sure. Women say he did exactly that, and he calls them a liar or mocks them implying "you think I would F that"? Gruesomely creepy and juvenile.

If so he deserves this and more. Crazy to think that the Repubs did not head this off and smear him months ago. I'm sure they are kicking themselves.

The Republican Party didn't take him seriously until it was too late. In fact, few people took him seriously in the early going - with the notable exception of Seton75

I was one of those people who didn't take him seriously... but part of the reason was that we knew he was a disgusting human being on record saying inappropriate things about women like on the Stern show. I heard Jeb had 100 million behind him so figured it was a matter of time before they could effectively shut Trump down.. but seems like the republican party expected him to just fade away.

but late in the game... how does Cruz not get a hold of this stuff?

Yea Cruz would have done anything to get elected. Bottom line though both parties did not put up good candidates. Repubs had a chance with Kasich IMO in a general election but Cruz and Trump were the last two standing and both are terrible. Hillary fixed the election against Bernie but both of those folks were extremely flawed candidates. The Dems put all they had to back Hillary so I guess even though they were underhanded in their execution they had a plan (that was sort of a compliment). We are screwed in the long run IMO. Hate em both and wish a decent third party candidate emerged but that did not happen either.

I believe Kasich would easily win the general election. However, it is exceedingly difficult for him to win the nomination. The Far Right portion of the party will not support a candidate like Kasich who they view as too moderate.

And hence we go round back to the start: Two bad, historically flawed candidates, neither of which should be President.

He reflected the national race best. He was the only GOP candidate who defeated Clinton on the national polls during primary season because his strengths were her weaknesses. Makes sense.

Have to laugh at that monumental prick Ted Cruz. Dude was clowned by Trump for months on every front: personal attacks on his wife. political/policy, conspiracy theories that his dad had something to do with the JFK assassination, etc etc. Trump was relentless. Tried to embarrass Cruz nonstop, and soundly wooped him in the primary. So then he refuses to endorse him like Jeb, which made total sense.

But then Mr. Moral High Ground capitulates a few weeks ago & endorses Trump & even starts phone banking for Trump like some random volunteer. Pathetic! And why? Because like I always say on here, the money is the ONLY thing that matters to these politicians. His big money donors signaled to him that if he didn't fall in line & back the Republican candidate, they were gonna pull their money backing his next campaign. So like all these guys, he tucks his tail and gives in to whatever the donors want.

And what's so hilarious about it is that if he would have just waited another two weeks or so, all this new stuff about Trump would have came out and he could have held his position, which was the correct position considering all the shit Trump said about him. Now all his fellow prominent Republicans are puling their endorsements themselves, but this clown is stuck flailing in the wind & looks like the craven politician that he is. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

We HAVE to get money out of these campaigns. Very few of our representatives can actually hold their own opinions on policy without running it through whoever backs them financially first. We remove that barrier, and we solve alot of the corruption & lying that these people do.

AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Hypothetical question for all in the thread:

Imagine you were forced to bet your life savings on whether the actual number of women Trump has actually groped / kissed / etc without consent (in line with the types of claims made thus far) is:

1) less than or equal to the current number of accusers (11 as of 5 pm EST on October 14)

or

2) greater than the current number of accusers.

In this hypothetical, we will magically find out the actual number (not what Trump or the accusers say, or what could be proven in court).

Which would you bet?
