Keep Donating!

The reality is, we will not be in the upper portion of the big east unless something significantly changes in our donor base and or leader ship of the NIL program.

We are not going to get to the 4+ million dollars a year that Jeff Kovach Indicates Sha needs to be competitive. We will not get there by selling watches scarfs Christmas ornaments, and the occasional car wash.

The landscape of college sports has changed. The NCAA let this get out of control and there’s no going back. It’s unfortunate, but hall will have to reevaluate how they define competitive. In addition, I also feel that this will lead to the departure of our favorite son, Sha, in a year or two

We can absolutely be competitive and get what we need and more but things MUST change! We need to become leaders, not followers and certainly not spectators. We cannot keep doing the same thing we’ve always done, which wasn’t working to begin with, and expecting different results. Hopefully Msgr. Riley wants something other than status quo!

Just spend what you have wisely. We need to evaluate available talent much better than we have so far.

Watching the game yesterday, we didn’t seem to have superior talent. Wonder how Fordam’s NIL budget compares to ours.

2 games in, and coming off a year in which we just missed the Dance and had a winning record in the league, I’m not going to conclude we don’t have sufficient $ or a executable plan to be competitive. We were last year and I think we will be this year.

It’s early and idk if anyone here has turned over a team either in sports or business or whether, but it takes time to reach good efficiency and effectiveness. The hope was the individual talent could’ve bailed us out against inferior teams but nope.

We are not reaching out to season tickets holder families with kids. We aren't including the casual fans. We are only catering to the diehards with disposable funds and we don't have enough of those to matter. I bought a hat. I have a few small children. I can't go on lavish trips and golf outings. I would love to pay to take my family to see a practice or scrimmage and meet the team. Not bing them to a bar at six figures a person. Families are not involved at all. That is the heart of Seton Hall. I don't know who the hell this team is and that hasn't happened in 30 years I have been a season ticket holder.

Reality.

The university continues to cater to the big money people. Those small donations add up and help attract others as well. You can reach out to both and be successful but we only reach out to one side.

If you always do what you’ve always done you’ll always get what you always got.

I see it the other way. The university keeps prodding at the small potatoes and can’t break thru with the big guys.. where’s Samuel Dalembert, Adrian Griffin, Andre Barret, Mo Vaughn, Craig Biggio, etc etc etc. did they all make anonymous donations?

We are getting NOWHERE close to Alabama, Texas, Duke, UNC, and anybody else by doing what we’re doing and there’s basically nothing we can do.

Pretty convenient that Alabama has become a top 10 program in basketball since NIL huh.

The NCAA needs a complete overhaul of its divisions, it’s the only chance.

Very sensible take. You have SOME nerve posting such a reasonable thought.

Either way we need to change what we are doing! There is absolutely no reason we cannot compete at the highest level if we do things right!

Apparently still working on Kurtz, the CEO, of CrowdStrike. His net worth 3x that of Repole, Vitamin Water guy and Pitino buddy.

University will come first with Kurtz, God willing he gives. But he loves race cars more than hoops, and unlike Repole his good friend is not the head coach like Pitino.
