Left Coast Pirates - MBB Season Preview w/ John Fanta

With only two weeks to go and still tons of uncertainty, we decided we couldn’t wait any longer.

Season preview time is here. We invited John Fanta to join us and go back to his Pirate Sport Network days, while going Hall In with us as we round table many topics about the upcoming season.

We quickly address the coronavirus pandemic and look forward to some actual basketball to be played.

We breakdown the team identity without Myles Powell.
We talk about Bryce Aiken’s role and health on a new roster.
We analyze who else can step up and make an impact.

But my favorite part of this episode was listening to John and Tom go back and forth in a heated debate as to whether Sandro can be the Alpha Dog on the roster.

All in all, a fun episode and a big thanks for John joining the show and having fun with it.

It was great. And thinking of John. Losing multiple close family members in a short time period its surreal, yet he was so eloquent and heartfelt. His Grandparents must’ve been super proud of him.

Even though we’re all fatigued by the pandemic, the check-ins with the guests are great as we’re all in the same boat right now with challenges and adjustments.

The final prognosis on the potential of this team is on the money. Health is everything and if there is a season and we are healthy, getting to second place is within grasp.
