Speaking of the PA governor's race, two bad nominees on both sides there too. Tough year for the people of that state.

Oz is a snake oil salesman.
I dont think its a great selection with either one for PA, but Oz is worse.
Fettermans attendance record as a mayor and then Lt. governor has been pretty bad. The guy doesn’t even show up and do his job. He’s a snake oil salesman as well, just a different version of Oz. Doing some research on Gerhart for my vote, and he’s got a pretty low bar to get over to beat these two idiots.
I’ve actually met Shapiro a couple of times, and while I don’t agree with some of his policies, I found him to be smart, engaging and decent. PA could do a lot worse. He will be a much better governor than Wolf.
Yes but Oz is backed by Trump because of that automatically Fetterman > Oz. We can and we should overlook all of Fetterman's shortcomings because the other guy is backed by Trump. You should know this by now.
I think there is plenty of time to move on from something like that but I didn’t really like his answers on the topic from what I have seen so far.
I really don’t know enough about him to have an opinion otherwise though.

Nobody mentioned the conman. I personally just think Fetterman has a better track record than the TV doctor, but I agree its a poor choice for PA. I'm waiting for 85 to scold you for bringing Trump up, at least thats usually what happens.
I mentioned him because you know damn well that's part of plenty of peoples logic. Let's not ignore the elephant in the room because nobody brought it up. As I said before people would vote for the devil himself (not calling any candidate the devil, somehow people can't understand that) if the devil ran against Trump or for that matter anyone Trump endorses. And as Hall85 rightfully said....sheep.

If people want to vote against a trump endorsed candidate that is their right. You likely have as large a group of people that only vote for candidates that he endorses. The majority he endorses are election deniers, which is a ridiculous platform in itself. I personally won't vote for anyone he endorses.
As for Oz vs Fetterman, Oz is simply a tv doctor. Fetterman served a tough community in the state for many years. The incident Hall85 raised could disqualify him for some, but I dont take that position.

I’m convinced if Putin were a Democrat and Kim was a Republican, a large number of blind partisans on both sides would twist themselves into knots defending how their guy isn’t as bad. And you wonder why we have the morons we do. Both parties know the sheep are in the majority.

Ive read up on him, not perfect by any means, but seems to have put a real effort into a bad town. Since you keep tearing him down, what makes Oz better?
I think it's bizarre to vote for or against a candidate based on another person, but that's just me. Apparently it's popular to do in both directions.
They both suck…is there really that much of a difference between a D and a D- ?
I have also met him a few times, once at the invite of a Republican DA. We were working to secure funding and he was quite helpful in identifying a bi-partisan approach.
I will be crossing the aisle and will vote for him.

its called lesser of two evils. is not voting better? its what happens when there are two awful candidates. whats bizarre is our primaries structure basically guarantees this happens
Voting for the lesser of two evils is looking at the 2 candidates and deciding based on their policies and positions which one sucks less. Thinking the lesser of 2 evils is based on what Trump thinks is just bizarre TDS.
When it comes to President I refuse to vote for 3rd party. I’m not voting for the House of Representatives to pick the President. That’s what that does. Unless I feel a third party candidate can get to 270, I just can’t do it.
Fair enough. I can’t vote for incompetence or morally corrupt. Foe me its a conscious thing.
I understand that completely. I can’t let the incompetence and morally corrupt in Washington control the outcome of the election. It’s a vicious cycle.
and the issues is the two party system primary structure where the extremes are voted in becuase god forbid the other party wins
