Vaccines used to be looked down upon in Pharma because they weren’t sexy and margins were not nearly as good as branded prescription drugs...25 years ago branded Rx made up 75% of prescriptions. Patent expirations flipped that to 80/20 generic, which is why you see big Pharma now making branded generics and vaccines...something they would never do previously.

Except of course that Pfizer formed Greenstone back in 1993 to be their foray into generic pharmaceuticals. Similarly Geneva Pharmaceuticals in Broomfield Colorado was a manufacturer of generic pharmaceuticals and also a subsidiary of Novartis (and originally as Sandoz before the rebrand) as far back as at least 1998. Your ability to be wrong about everything is truly impressive.
