Mayor Pete Pretty Uniformed For A Harvard Grad

Because there is not an endless supply of money and shouldn’t we be focusing on the solutions that are best for the environment?

Exactly. Not arbitrarily limiting your available tools is what’s best for the environment. Just focusing on rail and expecting an immediate transition of how people commute and travel is unrealistic.

Should’nt we be playing the long game? If it really is about saving the earth. Isn’t it?

Yes we should play the long game. Better mass transit and less environmentally impactful cars will both be a part of that.

Mass transit should be a priority over individual transportation. Once again, if we truly cared about saving the earth.

Complaining about doing something for an immediate benefit because it’s not perfect for decades down the road?

I’m not complaining. Just looking at this as prioritizing investment to save the world

Yes really. This is how business works…

That doesn't even make any sense.

You don't need to prioritize one thing with investments to "save the world".
You can do more than one thing at a time... Just like in business. They don't look at a list of strategic objectives and then at the end pick the best one.

You just don't like the investments that are aimed building demand for electric cars. It's fine.

Prioritize means exactly that. Some projects are more important than others and there’s a thing called a budget.

It is a proposed bill and it s either worth spending or not and they do not have to prioritize one thing. They are different projects and different groups would be working on each of them.

You just don't like spending on cars. It's fine.

I never said that. We should be looking and spending (if appropriate) on a collective energy/sustainable strategy

this you?

Why are we even spending tax dollars on expanding the use of personal vehicles?

also... the bbb has plenty of collective efforts on energy infrastructure. I think you’re just arguing to argue.
