It is. But doesn’t mean we’re going to find someone we need/want. That said, it’s still early.
Budd is just one piece of the puzzle, but he won't be the reason we don't make the NCAAs. Still a roster under construction with a long way to go.
Yes. We have $5+million according to most observers. Does he need to improve in some areas? Yes. What player doesn’t have areas to improve. He’s been with Holloway two years so he brings some continuity. Always easier to work with guys you know when possible than always bringing in new guys. We now gave a PG who can get him the ball in better situations. Of course, maybe Coleman doesn’t want to be here.
Really, I’d be hard pressed to identify too many posters with stupid optimism. I think our group is more on the realism to pessimist side.
You really believe we have $5mil?? No chance it’s anywhere near that. We lost two players already. And the only one we’ve brought in is from Merrimack.
If we had legit money to spend I think we’d be a lot more active than this..

No one should be concerned who leaves this team. No one including Coleman is a devastating loss. Be concerned about who is coming in. That’s all that people should be concerned with.
Correct… Why would you worry about a group that just had the worst season in school history?? I mean they were really really really bad. They couldn’t beat low level mid majors on our home court! C’mon man!
The $5 million number was stated weeks ago. What’s your source that we don’t have it? My point is that we could have the $$$ but good players have other options and prefer to go elsewhere.
Maybe they’re awaiting Monday’s announcement to be cautious bc they don’t have it without that. The NIL is still in tatters.
This is how I see it. The new players will make or break us. The staff has to be careful not to take comfort pieces. We can be cautiously optimistic about Clarke, but more talent is required to fix the team.
I had high hopes for him. He has a great shooting eye. But we ran little to nothing for him and he proved incapable of creating his own shot. Can honestly say I'm not disappointed to see him go. I sure hope he's replaced by a better player.
I’m only disappointed by the “what could have been” as good players tend to make the jump in year 2 of the same system. But there’s also the high probability that he’s just not that good and he was never going to work out. We’ll see what he does at his third school in as many years.
So you are completely discounting what has been said by Halldan and Jerry Carino?
i don't doubt it this time, but theres a precedent of our most plugged in people having wrong info in the end. likely because the people telling them are being duped too. usually its recruiting based.
