NEW COMMIT: AJ Staton-McCray

Quick glance at his stats and seems like he could be a solid supporting piece for a good team. The problem is we don’t have anyone to support at the moment.

From the limited video he looks like a decent player. Is this the Jenkins replacement?? The guy's Sha has signed
look to have better basketball IQ than the ones departing, although it's tough to judge from highlight packages,

So are we his fifth school? Samford, Louisville, VTech, Miami?
3rd. He played for Samford for 4 years, then Miami last year. The reference to Louisville and VTech were the number of points he scored against them last year.

Good pick up but hope he gets himself conditioned. this guy is probably going to be asked to play 30 minutes a game. He hasn’t played more than 22 minutes a game since his freshman year,

I don't understand the argument that Holloway is refusing to spend available NIL. It's not like he gets to keep it if he doesn't use it for the players.
Keep it for a later date and build the NIL pot up bigger so you can spend really big in a future year too buy an NBA roster of great players?

Do you think the pot automatically fills like a spigot left on, or is there some thought that donations slow when you perpetually suck?

I laugh when people say to stockpile donations for 3-4 years and then buy an elite team. At some point, donors stop caring.

We should run a mega millions or powerball pool on the board and hopefully we win, because that’d the only way this is going to chsnge

No you are 100% wrong on this one. If you finish last or near the bottom every year in the BE then donors stop caring. If there is NO hope of being competitive in the BE and no hope of going to the NCAA tournament then donors stop caring.

If you explain the plan is to build an NIL fund up so you can buy great players so you can be at the top or near the top in the BE and be in the NCAA tournament then donors knowing the plan WILL care and keep contributing. It about communicating the plan and giving hope!

Currently all hope is lost but that can be changed.

The idea of intentional tanking is worse than putting a guy with dementia in the White House and lying about it. We would quite literally be tanking into the MAAC
