Uh what’s the excuse this year then?

It's not like we excelled in the non-conference last year either. Our best wins were against Memphis, on a buzzer-beater and at RU by one and two points respectively. We hit conference play at 7-4 with a D-II win and a loss to Siena included in the mix.

At one point we were 15-9 with those two wins, the home win over UConn and not much else to brag about.

No excuse, someone asked why we wouldn't have been a "lock" with Samuels last year.

As talented as Kadary is, we haven’t done anything with him. Time to move on and start fresh.

Davis I could see as a similar situation as Dawes if he came back. a guy who would over stay his welcome and be unmotivated

We made an NCAA Tournament with Richmond in his first season here - 2021-22 - after Aiken went down.

Then in Year 2 we were 16-11, 9-7 and had every opportunity to make another NCAA Tournament when he went down minutes into the UConn game and missed the rest of the season. The team went 1-6 without him, crashing and burning.

This year is not his fault. But he's the best player on a team that's playing badly, so he gets a lot of sh-t for it.

That 2021 team was much more talented, that’s why we made the tournament. When those guys left and Kadary has been the lead guy we have stunk. His type of play just doesn’t work. He’s a player built for 1 on 1 or 3 on 3.

We don’t need another year of hoping Kadary gets matched up against a small guard.

That's Kadary's fault? He didn't put together a roster that has a wing playing PF. Or a couple of 4 and 5-year players averaging 30 MPG who can't shoot a lick.

As we sit here today, if we presume no changes (utter lunacy) and the loss of Richmond, Davis and Addae-Wusu, next year will make this year look like an NCAA season.

There is literally no proven high-level NCAA talent on the roster. Maybe Coleman becomes that. We can hope Sanders does as well. Beyond that, it's a big jump.

Obviously if Richmond, Davis, DAW (and Harris) move on, they'll be replaced, likely with transfers. Maybe even better players. That remains to be seen.
