This may be a dumb question but I am
admittedly not that well versed in how the NIL funds are dispersed (or seemingly not dispersed in seton halls case). Does Sha have an open checkbook to spend what’s available? Do the player offers need to be approved by the collective? Does the school have a say in how much money is spent on players?
I was also wondering if it’s possible the offers from Seton Hall are structured with more commitments than other schools, ie a player must perform a number of tasks to “earn” the NIL while others maybe just paying out the money.
Just trying to figure out what the disconnect is since we’ve heard that the NIL is not as poor as we originally thought and we’ve heard phrases like tightening “the purse strings.”
