Seton Hall has flourished in the program’s previous two seasons to the likes of which the program has not seen in over 20 years, and they are in pursuit of a truly special 2017-18 campaign.
The Pirates concluded non-conference play with a handful of resume-boosting victories including five over teams in the KenPom Top-100.
Seton Hall has won 10 of its last 11 games, and is a perfect 3-0 against ranked opponents this season.
The Hall has not gotten off to a 14-2 start since the 2011-12 team began its season with wins in 15 of its first 17 games.
The 3-0 start to BIG EAST play is the program’s first under head coach Kevin Willard, and only the third in 39 BIG EAST seasons. The Pirates started 3-0 in 1998-99 and 4-0 in 1992-93.
In the Polls
The Pirates head into Tuesday night as the No.13 ranked team in the AP Poll, its highest since Jan. 2, 2001.
The eight-spot jump from No. 21 to No. 13 matches the highest in-season jump from one week to the next in program history. The Pirates were also +8 (21 to 13) after winning the 1991 BIG EAST Championship.
Seton Hall has been in the weekly national rankings 110 times in program history, and now 10 times this season.
Of the 110 all-time rankings, this is the fifth time Seton Hall has been ranked No. 13.
Seton Hall’s all-time record as an AP nationally ranked team is 154-50 (.755).

- No. 13 Seton Hall heads to Milwaukee on Tuesday night looking to improve to 4-0 in BIG EAST play for the second time in program history and first since it won its first four conference games in 1992-93.
- For the second straight year, Seton Hall overcame a double-digit, second-half deficit to stun Butler, 90-87, on Saturday afternoon at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
- Khadeen Carrington posted 29 points, six assists, and shot 7-for-11 from three-point range. Angel Delgado finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds and six assists.
- The Pirates are off to their first 3-0 start to BIG EAST play under head coach Kevin Willard, first since the 1998-99 season, and only the third time ever.
- Seton Hall concluded non-conference play with an 11-2 record. It is the first time since 2012-13 that the Pirates have accumulated 11 non-conference wins in the regular season.
- Seton Hall has won 10 of its last 11 games - seven against KenPom top-100 teams, including Vanderbilt (85), Texas Tech (5), Louisville (39), VCU (95), Creighton (19), St. John’s (74) and Butler (40).
- Senior point guard Khadeen Carrington has been incredible over the current five-game winning streak for the Pirates. He is averaging 22.4 points while shooting 52.5 percent from the field, 61.1 percent (22-of-36) from distance, and 84.8 percent (28-of-33) from the stripe.
- The Pirates are 7-16 in the all-time series with Marquette, and all three matchups in 2016-17 came down to the wire.

- The most recent meeting was in the BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinal when Angel Delgado fell one assist shy of a triple-double, and the Pirates came away with an 82-76 victory at Madison Square Garden. Seton Hall used a 17-2 mid-second half run and a 40-12 scoring advantage in the paint to edge past the Golden Eagles. Carrington scored a game-high 19 points and was 11-for-11 at the free-throw line.
- So far, Desi Rodriguez has been the go-to man offensively for the Pirates. He is averaging 18.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 50.2 percent from the field and 35.8 from three-point range. The team is 9-0 when he is the leading scorer, and he has poured in 15 or more in nine of the last 11 games. The Pirates are 32-9 all-time when he scores 15 or more points.
- Last year, in BIG EAST road games, Rodriguez averaged 19.0 points and 5.7 rebounds while shooting 44.4 percent (24-for-54) from three-point range. He is currently ninth in the conference in scoring.
- The 14-2 start is now one shy of the best 17-game start in the Kevin Willard era. The Pirates were 15-2 to start the 2011-12 season.
