Yes she’s doing what her constituents asked but they represent a very narrow view. Good luck to her but this will likely putter quickly.

I don't think it putters out. I don't think the goal is to implement all of it but to build public support and slowly progress towards investments in renewable energy. I think it will play a significant part through the primaries and guide the democratic platform.

The "getting stuff done" talk is about the president working with congress. They don't care what bills congress puts up, they want to see congress working with the president to accomplish something.

Building public support for a platform is part of the political process. The people of her district voted for her to get this conversation going and considering how it is dominating the news lately - it worked.

No her district voted for her because they wanted a change from the same old stuff. As well as people really want the free stuff that made Bernie Sanders was offering. That was her platform.

Disagree. AOC is a bright shiny object right now getting a lot of MSM attention. This is a nice lofty idea like world peace, But once something more important is elevated like the ACA wall that we’re going to hit, or a crisis in the Middle East or market correction It is going to fade to the background.

I think economic issues help improve the pitch of investing in a green industry, and any extreme weather events will also keep it forefront if they occur. Lot's of "ifs" either way though that could help of hinder the platform.

Yes, because I trade galvanized pipe futures.

We not get to the point that we no longer need fossil fuels for heating and electricity in our lifetimes, even if you are a couple of years younger than me.

Again, I said we will get to net zero emissions in my lifetime.
That doesn't mean we will no longer use fossil fuels.
