Another dumb move by Biden. Has the complete opposite effect of his stated intention.

Trumps victory marginalized all of them and with the expansive agenda he has and essentially two years to get it passed, there was no way there would be any investigations.

Now Biden has handed him the talking points to reinforce that they were guilty with no chance for them to disprove.
 
Talk about abusing power. Can you real pardon someone for something they haven’t even been accused of yet?

Gotta believe that goes beyond the power of the President. Will the courts get involved.

Biden has literally done everything they cried about for years that Trump would do if he got into office

In agreement these pardons are crossing a moral line though.
 
It's just part of the continuing and ramping up smear of Trump. That's what the Dems are doing. Part of the plan.

They can’t help themselves and now he sets a precedent so Trump can do the same thing. Dems criticize Trump as having unbridled power and they hand him the most dangerous tool.

It's clear Biden has not been running the country for some time. These decisions are being made by others most likely folks like Soros and Obama designees. Biden most likely did not make this decision or at least alone.

No one was ever going to jail. If you accept that premise, then the only thing these pardons did was take away the ability to plead the fifth amendment prohibition against self-incrimination. If called now, they would have to testify, and testify on honestly since they would still be subject to prosecution for any post pardon perjury.
 
Looks like Trump just pardoned all Jan 6 defendants. Didn’t take long for Trump to prove what a disgrace that he is the President. Hall85 u were up in arms about Biden pardoning people who committed no crime.

Trump starts off on day one proving he is not to be trusted with the reigns of power.

Trump shouldn't pardon any Jan 6 person who entered the Capital.That has to be against the law.That said,you don't know that the people Biden is pardoning didn't break the law.That hasn't been prosecuted yet.Ironically,his pardon makes them look guilty which isn't a great look.

You don’t see the difference of pardoning people for past or future crimes?

And for the record I think he should absolutely not pardon anyone who injured law enforcement.

I don’t agree with Biden pardoning people who did not commit any crimes. There is no allegation of a crime for members of the Congressional committee who only performed their jobs. There image been no allegations that he committed any crimes except that Trumo says so. Name the crime.

Thus, while I understand why Biden pardoned them to avoid unnecessary retributional investigations (weaponizing the DOJ), I don’t like it.

Trump meanwhile pardoned violent offenders who beat up police and desecrated the capital. What a disgrace!

Think about the dangerous precedent Biden just set. Trump could turn to Zuckerberg and tell him could do something illegal to enrich himself and give him the same pardon before he leaves office whether Zuckerberg is caught or not.

Kash Patel has already indicated that they should be prosecuted. Another person who is woefully unqualified.

As a member of law enforcement t for 27 years who has personally prosecuted numerous murderers including a terrorist, I think I have some good feel for what it takes to Christopher Wray was a man of integrity who carried out the job of the Director well. Patel is a lightweight who is just a yes man for Trump. Please read Bill Barr’s accounting of Patel.

Pardoning some of the Jan 6th folks was ok but not thise that were violent towards law enforcement. Very disappointed that he chose that path on Day 1. It’s wrong and also gives the press the opportunity to not even mention the Biden pardons. Stupid move IMO.

Totally agree. It was wrong to pardon those that attacked LEO’s and like you said the press was all over it.

I’m assuming in Trump’s world, ripping the Band-Aid off and getting it done immediately gets it over with. This will quickly fade in the news cycle as there will be nothing else to report on regarding January 6.

It also dominated the news cycle with the press paying very little attention to many of the other actions other than immigration the Gulf of America and Elon’s “Nazi” salute…lol.

I am mystified why people are surprised that these convicted criminals were all pardoned on Day 1. The President has been very clear that was his intention. Donald Trump does not deal in nuance. In his mind, they are all Patriots. If people are uneasy about this clear and telegraphed action, they are in for a long four years.

Not sure why he didn't pardon them on his last day 1st time around. Very confusing.

That was part of his platform. Everyone knew he was going to do it. He ran on it. It's not like he pulled a fast one behind closed doors. People voted for him knowing he'd do it.

I’m uneasy about any President. I was very uneasy with Biden "kind of" in charge and never got comfortable and did not like the direction the country was going in at all. That's over and now we have another new/old President and an uneasy time to see what is actually going to happen. Let's hope more good than bad.

I think for all your experience you are terribly confused. Wray is the guy who said Trump might have been hit with shrapnel in Butler. He's the guy who attacked traditional Catholics and parents who were concerned about what was going on in their children's schools. Then there was the cover up of Hunter Biden's laptop and in general the Biden's family's malfeasance all under his watch. Patel will find it difficult to match Wrays record for incompetence but I'm sure you wish him well in trying.
On a different subject anyone who thinks billionaires are steadfast in their beliefs is bound to be disappointed. Democrats today, Republicans tomorrow. Whatever it takes to line their pockets. Only soros can be depended on to remain far left. Trump
knows what he’s dealing with, I'm sure. and will use it to his and the country’s advantage. It's nice to have a President again.




forgot the raid on Mar a Lago. Trump made two big errors in his first term, the appointment of Wray and Milley. I hope whoever advised him on those two have no part in his second term.

Yeah I don’t think you don’t know anything about law enforcement and what Wray’s abilities are. If you think Wray conducting a search warrant (raid) was wrong or illegal, it shows you know nothing about LE. Clearly Trump can do no wrong in your eyes. Qualified Trump appointees are bad appointments
I have far more experience and far more qualified than Cash Patel, and I do not consider myself qualified to be FBI Director

I guess Jerome Powell was a bad appointment as well since Powell since Trump wil replace him. The man has done an outstanding job at the Fed.

We had all these “qualified” people for decades and people continue to trust the government less and are not feeling like their lives are getting better. How could that possibly be true in the greatest country on earth. “Qualified” people can do a shitty job. “Qualified” people get fired in the real world all of the time.

Nothing wrong with the raid legally but damn what terrible precedent. I don’t think Trump should go after the Bidens. If he does you can’t say it’s a new low. It’s part of the reason Trump won the popular vote. It was an example of why Americans continue to lose trust in the government. Cities are getting destroyed and we’re worried about Trump having papers in his home,
