SERIES INFORMATION:
Seton Hall and St. John's will resume their very long rivalry this weekend. St. John's owns a 65-57 all-time series lead. Last year, the teams met four times, three in the regular season at Owen T. Carroll Field, and once in the BIG EAST Championship. The Hall won two of the three regular season games, but the Red Storm defeated the Pirates, 4-1, in the tournament, ending their season. The last time Seton Hall went to Jack Kaiser Stadium (2015), St. John's won two of three games. The Pirates' lone win came in the finale, a 19-4 victory.

St. John's enters the weekend riding an eight-game win streak. Last weekend was their bye week from BIG EAST play and they won two games (one rainout) against Fairleigh Dickinson. Most recently, they lost to Princeton, 4-2, on Wednesday. Both the Pirates and Red Storm have played Butler. The Hall lost two of three games at Owen T. Carroll Field to the Bulldogs, while St. John's swept them in Indianapolis.

THINGS TO KNOW:
PIRATES BLANK SAINT PETER'S
Six Seton Hall pitchers combined to shut out Saint Peter's on Wednesday, 11-0. The Pirates used a six-run second inning to provide all the offense they would need. Matt Toke collected three hits for The Hall. Ryan Ramiz drove in three runs. Jackson Martin hit his second career home run.

21 STRAIGHT
In Seton Hall's 11-0 victory over Saint Peter's on Wednesday, Pirate pitching retired 21 straight batters at one point. After Chris Morris allowed a leadoff single in the second inning, he, combined with efforts by relievers Billy Layne, Jr., Andrew Politi, Matt Ponsiglione and Matt Leon sent down 21 consecutive Peacocks until Ryan Testani allowed a leadoff single to begin the ninth inning.

HALL SWEEPS HOYAS
Seton Hall earned a much needed sweep over Georgetown last weekend for its first BIG EAST series victory of the season. All three Pirate starters earned victories and the Seton Hall offense erupted for 26 runs and 35 hits over the three-games.

PRENDERGAST, TOKE NET HONOR ROLL
Senior Zach Prendergast and freshman Matt Toke were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. Prendergast allowed just one run over 6.1 innings with a career-high nine strikeouts against Georgetown on Sunday. Toke batted .455 last week and hit safely in all five games.

Tyler Shedler-McAvoy went 3-for-6 with a three-run triple.

COMEBACK KIDS

He's had a brutal season. He was supposed to be the best pitcher in the league.

Looks like SJU countered with maybe the best pitcher this year, certainly there's.

I guess the only good news is he will most likely have to come back. Can't see him going pro after the season he just had.

All kidding aside he s having a nightmare season. They have to figure out what's wrong with his pitching mechanics by next Spring. Maybe they should shut him down or put him
In the bullpen for the rest of this season.

Yeah, I don't know why they keep parading him out to start series in the conference. He's putting us behind the eight ball most every Friday.

The kid has huge legs but they can't get him to be the power pitcher he should be.
