SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall senior Joe Poduslenko (Glen Mills, Pa.) was named to the Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for NCAA Division I District 2.

The All-District awards are a subset of CoSIDA's Academic All-America program. Nominees need to be at least a sophomore, a regular starter and must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.

Poduslenko is in the midst of his finest season as a collegian for Seton Hall. The Pirate third baseman currently leads the team in runs scored, home runs, RBIs, total bases, walks, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. Named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Feb. 20, Poduslenko currently leads the BIG EAST Conference and is tied for 29th in the nation with 40 walks. Twice he was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll this season and has over 120 career hits and 110 career walks. On March 29, he had a home run and five RBIs in a victory against Princeton. On Feb. 19 against Michigan, he hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning to give the Pirates a thrilling, come-from-behind win.

Having just received his diploma with a business degree in finance, Poduslenko has maintained an impressive 3.63 grade point average at Seton Hall.
