Although I am not an investigative journalist, I have begun to probe into the Willard/Lyons situation. I have a relationship with a couple of key players within various departments across the University. There is some sentiment that quite possibly Willard was rewarded by Lyons in order to show gratitude for helping him attain his very lucrative position as athletic director. Unfortunately none of this can be presently confirmed. However, there is definite concern as to the potentiality of a definite conflict of interest. If all of this can somehow be corroborated, then both can be fired for cause.
