I think Rutgers "dream season" was a message board creation. I don't think anyone objective thought with that roster this was a team that was going to contend for titles. I think folks thought they'd be a NCAA team, which is very much in play, and that the two freshman would be really good, which they are. Having those kids is still a massive boon to that program.Well we may be pitiful, but at this point it looks like Rutgers dream season is going to be a bust.
Misery loves company.
Yeah. This time Harper dribbled straight down the middle of the court into a double team. He did have less time to work with, 4 seconds vs 6 seconds so he had to get down the court and get it up quick.See what happens when you at least put a hand in the face of harper?

Quote right off the rutgers board--sounds awfully familiar doesn't it????No defense. No rebounding. No threes. No offensive sets. No team but a group of selfish players. What is Pike doing ?
Harper made a nice subtle move to create separation against Dual. We could have defended better but give Harper credit for making a play. Now I know what defense looks like on Harper with only seconds left in the game.
Very different situations.See what happens when you at least put a hand in the face of harper?

If there was more than 6 seconds left RU would’ve won. The Harper heave was caught and put in by Bailey just barely after the clock hit 0.Harper made a nice subtle move to create separation against Dual. We could have defended better but give Harper credit for making a play.

Last week, RU has a timeout and more than six seconds to work with. Today, no timeouts and less than five seconds.
Two seconds is a big difference and since play continued after Princeton's make, the middle of the court was clogged. Harper also took the ball deeper than he did last week, again, meaning there was more traffic than he had to deal with against us. He literally ran into the defender.

That’s all message boards. Remember the big debate over the summer about playing Hofstra away or at a neutral site 5 minutes from their campus.Their board is complaining about playing Princeton. 😵💫 Guess they think they should only be playing with the KUs, NCs & Dukie Vs of the world since they’re so BIG. Oh wait, Kenneslawee (sp) is a better fit with their vaunted b-ball history.
😂😂😂😂
I’ve been beating the Xaivian Lee drum for two years now. The kid is awesome. Caden Pierce too. The two best players in NJ after Dylan Harper. Xaivian is a pro.
Lee is canadian american with south korean heritage and princeton was a catered choiceI would really love to know how another program with more money didn't snatch these two. Lee especially.
Makes you wonder if we tried to get him because both those guys would be by far our best players after Coleman
Out of HS, no one wanted them. Princeton was the only school to offer Lee while Pierce had a few other low-level offers. Credit to Mitch Henderson for finding them and developing them.I would really love to know how another program with more money didn't snatch these two. Lee especially.
