Fully agree! People can be pissed. People should not be looting and rioting.

I simply think this story is not a good comparison to the other.
Because the MSM wants to make it about policing and race. I agree that we need to hold LEO’s to a higher standard as they are sworn to protect and serve, but the non stop narrative is white cops are disproportionately shooting unarmed blacks which is statistically false.
Is it? And I’m not trying to be an ass (comes naturally), but truly curious if there are statistics on this. Call it “bad apple” officers, when someone kills an unarmed person in an act that could be considered criminal. In these cases, how often are charges brought? How often are there convictions? And, what do the assailant/victims races tell us?
A few threads back you claim my assertions were wrong. I’ll be damned if I knew what I said with any conviction. I truly would be curious to see facts.
Those stats have been posted on numerous occasions (and it’s late and I’m too tired to search for them now....lol).
I’m all for accountability and each town/city Should be responsible for ensuring there is a fair review process police shootings in their communities. That takes leadership of the mayors, council, police chief and police union.

Makes you wonder what the mayor and council was doing in Minneanapolis all these years if there was such systematic racism. Me thinks they used the George Floyd incident to try and gain complete power by catering to the dregs of their city. Well see how that playbook works out for Minny.
How many LEO create situations that become life or death, how many POS criminals create situations that are life and death.
How many LEO are killing people for no good reason? How many POS criminals are killing people for no good reason?
It just baffles my mind that we have hundreds of shootings each week and we focus on the minimal bad cops. Don't get me wrong, bad cops need to be dealt with in a harsh manner. It would be as if posters were focusing on our defense as the reason we lost a game and ignoring our 11-24 night from the free throw line. Baffling. We have a huge problem right in front of our face and we focus on a much lesser problem because after all it isn't operating perfectly, which we all admit.
I understand or feelings here and you are righto a certain extent. The shootings and rioting must be dealt with. But you are also focusing on killings by LEO’s. The anger really is being stopped by the police for no reason, ie driving while black. It’s the beatings that they endure at the hands of police. Those things happen with way more frequency. The killing is the tip of the iceberg.
now, in my opinion, body cameras should be universal which will decrease any bad behavior and when it does happen it will be easier to prosecute. Moreover, it will decrease false allegations of discrimination and police brutality that also happens. While the killings at the hand of the police is a small minority, because we as a country entrust them with so much power, we expect better of them. Police are there to protect and serve, not to abuse. Those in power will always garner more attention when they have done wrong.
And yet again, you are comparing the actions of criminals vs the actions of LEOs.
I’m not trying to compare the two. For crying bout loud, criminals are going to do horrible things (or duh, maybe I wouldn’t be categorizing them as criminals). That would mean that essentially, a 100% hit rate. LEOs are expected to display heinous criminal behavior at a 0% rate.
Yet we keep seeing a comparison of volume of criminal acts by POS vs LEO.

You talk about LEO’s like they are not human beings. Humans aren’t perfect. We all want politicians to have our interest, they don’t. We all want policemen to be perfect citizens, they are not. We all want priests to be Holy 24/7, they’re not. We all want lawyers to fight for justice, they don’t. Pick any group of people, they are all humans and imperfect. Why is there such concern and media focus about police and not other groups. My guess is policemen percentage wise are as good as any group in this country.
