Two awful, awful candidates. The only thing about Fetterman is that he should have decided to drop out and only has himself to blame for not being able to fulfill the duties of the job.

Thankfully Shapiro was the only adult on the ballot.

Update: One month in to a six year term and things are not going well for Sen. Fetterman. But hey, the citizens of PA elected this guy. This is who they wanted! Hopefully he resigns and is replaced.

It get's a little tricky if they can't get to Washington. You have to die, resign or get expelled for the governor to replace you in PA. Either (or both) Fetterman and Casey (who has prostate cancer and is being treated) could decline to resign even if they miss considerable time. Senators are required to be present to vote.

You hope that's not the case, but that's how it would work.
