They’re 17 year old sophomores in high school!? I was 17 as a college freshman! Since when is Puma “a popular sneaker and athletic apparel company”? Maybe a long time ago (like when I was a 17 year old college freshman) but I don’t see that now. Also, if sneaker companies can get in on NIL then what’s to stop the likes of UA and Nike from paying NIL fees for their schools?

I didn’t even know NIL was permitted on the high school level!

Willard behind the scenes last season told people close to him that Weston would not play a minute all year.

For once he was (almost) 100% accurate regarding an injury.

If he was expecting to be 100% recovered this year, you wonder why Sha didn’t try to keep our so-called best recruit since Whitehead. Was it our decision to cut bait or his to follow Woodward, who originally recruited him?

He almost returned but was given instructions on what he had to do to come back. Unfortunately the goals were not met and it was then that he left.

Best for all concerned to just wish him well and move on.

I’m assuming those numbers represent the comprehensive alumni pool. Could be somewhat misleading because often post grads have softer affiliations with their graduate schools. Their primary loyalty lies with their undergrad.

True, but the gross numbers are larger than any other conference. That’s what matters.

Thanks for clarifying. I wish him well - I very much like the pieces Sha brought in for this year. Now he needs to sign at least 3 players for 2023 - hoping we get at least 1 or 2 excellent high school players in the fall and then a transfer.

The elder Harris, Yetna and Ndefo schollies definitely need to be filled.

NCAA took it easy on Memphis….with Oklahoma st, Louisville, and others that worked with Ncaa getting hammered and schools like Memphis spitting in face at and actively defying the ncaa means you should never work with ncaa.

Freemantle suspended. This guy was great his sophomore season, but then looked like a shell of himself last year. Wonder what's going on with him now. No reason given for suspension...
