SHU women’s BBall

I think we have to give The Hall gals a pass here. . Sure, we'd like to be way closer than that outcome of that game. What you notice is that these elite programs have more size and athletic players. No way SHU can compete with these schools. Maybe they can keep the score more respectable when they play at Walsh. Seton Hall are not striving for the Final 4 any time soon. It would be great if they can compile some wins and get a bid. Not impossible.

Women are having a great year so far, beat Marquette away for the first time in conference play. Started the conference 4-0, best start in conference play, until losing to Creighton at home.

Earning a bid is going to be very difficult. Our NET is at 64 (which doesn't include today's game) and nine of our 13 wins are Q4.

The Big East is a mediocre league and we've already lost to the conference's two best teams -- one of them by 60 points. We've lost to three top teams in UConn, USC and LSU by an average of 40 points. Other than rematches with UConn and Creighton, there aren't many opportunities for quality wins.

Ultimately, landing an invite may come down to the committee ignoring us being non-competitive against quality opponents.
