With Seton Hall playing Thursday, Friday and Sunday, this is a fantastic way to get away from your family for a few hours on Saturday and have a valid excuse for your Pirates.

Or, (even better?) have your spouse join you.

It’s golf on a course you’ll probably never play again and maybe we’ll get a contest going on the driving range vs. Rasheen or Sha (don’t quote me on that, I know nothing regarding the special guest).

There are still spaces available, so please consider supporting this initiative. Over 70% of the cost is an NIL donation to Onward Setonia. This was heavily negotiated and subsidized by the organizers to ensure a meaningful donation hits the target, our Pirates.

850 per golfer - 24 golfers 20,400 with 70% going to NIL -- apprx 14,280 NIL money - not sure who we are buying with that but at least it helps build the coin bucket.

Not buying any player. Isn’t NIL cumulative?

People give $1000 a year to Onward Setonia for nothing, just a monthly hit to the numbers. Most golfers would jump at the opportunity to play a new private course. In this case, play a course and have a meal with a coach sandwiched between games, while donating likely around $600 to NIL. If you don’t see the value in that, then it’s not for you.

$15k here, $14k there (the hats) other events Onward Setonia put together (jackets, yacht club, etc) are all contributory. All these add to the pool but are trumped by the bigger sums that those who can afford, give.

But ask yourself this, what’s the alternative? What’s your idea to add to the coffers?

Every bit helps or we aren’t competitive. And mind you, you’d be surprised at some of the NIL numbers and what you can get for the mid 5-figure range.

Sunset 5:14 on November 23rd.

Most golf outings take 4-5 hours because of slow play, inexperienced golfers, and other factors. Very little chance they can get 18 in before dark if they're in fact teeing off at 1:30. Pretty big oversight, especially for a high dollar outing.

I really wouldn’t worry yourselves over golfers finishing their rounds benefiting Seton Hall NIL. We will surely get 18 in with plenty to spare even if we need to cut off lunch earlier with the coaching staff.

I played with a few of the participants a few weeks ago at Spring Lake. We will have a great time.

We’ve got six foursomes going off at 1:30—on two separate 18-hole courses. Three groups per course.

The average handicap? A solid 2. My friends and I are bringing up the rear as the last two foursomes in each group. So, there's no need to worry about 'slow play.' And if there’s any concern about finishing on time, trust me—I always finish, and sometimes even quicker then I would have liked;)

Maybe try finding something else to critique about the event.

I remember watching the US junior amateur a few years back and saying to myself, what an amazing golf course, I wish I could play there. Now I get that chance, watch my Pirates compete big time in Charleston, support NIL, talk with the coaching staff and socialize with a great group of Pirate fans. What’s better!

I'm sure they can make the most of it. These guys seem to be pretty creative, they'll probably add glow in the dark golf balls to the bag of giveaway items and it will be a good time.

South Carolina is farther west
Noted before sunset is 5:14 in Charleston on the 23rd.

Guys are going to have to hustle for a 3:30-3:45 round but that’s very doable if it’s a shotgun and everybody knows the drill. “Ready golf”!
