I’m watching part of it. I can’t help but root for Kadary. They look like an NC contender. Rick taught them how to shoot 3s last week.
And anyone who still doesn’t think St. John’s is the best team in the conference…. You are in denial. They look like an NC contender. Rick taught them how to shoot 3s last week.
I had thought outside shooting would be their weakness. And anyone who still doesn’t think St. John’s is the best team in the conference…. You are in denial.
That’s a helluva team
I mean mid 70s in age...nba not knocking on doorIf Rick does win the National Championship does he entertain leaving for another team either college or pros or does he stay in the Big East like Jay Wright or Calhoun.
No reason to go elsewhere. He has MSG, he has money (himself and NIL), he has endless access to fine dining and he’s old AF.he has said this is his last stop. i beliwleve him
Or does he just retire? If Rick does win the National Championship does he entertain leaving for another team either college or pros or does he stay in the Big East like Jay Wright or Calhoun.
And has said he wants to live in Westchester. Also said he would not step foot back in the state of Kentucky not even to race a horse. He is also a member at Winged foot and avid golfer
I also worry they look this good because of how down the Big East is.I worry about 3 pt shooting and foul issues
There’s a reason Pitino is in the HOF. Repole’s money is important, but there’s not a better coach in the nation right now.
Agreed. Just look at what he’s done with Richmond. Hes gotten more effort out of Kadary in 1 year than Sha, Willard, or Boheim did the previous 4.Pitino is so good he'd even win 8-9 games in this Big East with this Seton Hall roster. Coaching matters.
Wanted to say this, but didn’t want to sound like I was downplaying St John’s season.I also worry they look this good because of how down the Big East is.
Don't get me wrong, they look like a second weekend tournament team but not sure if I am ready to put them up there with Auburn & Duke as the top contenders. And I could really see them get stuck in a loaded bracket, as a FU to the Big East.
He is very close with Mike Repole. He ain’t going anywhereHe talks so much and says so many things who knows. He said the same about Iona.
But he seems to be at peace being back in NYC and having the chance to do this again. He's selling out the Garden, he's going to have a powerhouse legacy at St. John's, he's got constant NIL, IDK why he'd want to go Bloomington.
