I trust my sources that the NFL covered the costs of both jets for that trip. The NFL TV contracts are based on ratings and they wanted to make sure she got there.

More than anything else it's evidence of NCAA incompetency. Last year Connecticut final four rooms had vomit and feces in them. This year they can't fly us in until 4 AM in the morning. At the women's tournament they can't get the three-point line straight or even equal on both sides of the court. Yeah, "stuff happens", but when things happen consistently it's a pretty good indicator that an organization is ineptly run.

The whole Connecticut organization is having a little bit of fun with this. Last night on Field of 68 Connecticut athletic director Dave Benedict said "oh, it's definitely conspiracy. Did you notice all the P5 teams planes arrived on time?" 😂

Just that. They rooms that they were booked in had tons of housekeeping problems including the presence of vomit and feces, along with smaller things like no dressers, just a bed in a room. Just like last night the NCAA put out statements about how they had great efforts to correct the problems, but in both cases they didn't, the UConn travel staff did. Connecticut staff booked the rooms and last night it was Connecticut staff that reached out to the airline to get a new flight. The NCAA gets paid $1,000,000,000+ from this tournament and proves itself, again and again to be enormously incompetent. It is top heavy and inefficient. It's time for a change.
