QUEENS, N.Y. (Nov. 27, 2015) – After St. John’s just completed a trip to Hawaii for the Maui Invitational, ESPN has announced that the Red Storm will head to the Bahamas next Thanksgiving as one of eight participants in the 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis from Nov. 23-25.
The Battle 4 Atlantis, one of the premier regular season tournaments, takes place on Paradise Island at Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas, an iconic resort known worldwide as a leading destination in the Caribbean.
The loaded field for the 2016 Battle 4 Atlantis features eight teams that have made a combined 165 NCAA Tournament appearances, including three programs ranked in the top 25 in all-time NCAA appearances.
St. John’s (28 NCAA appearances, T-23rd) is joined by Louisville (41, 5th) and Michigan State (29, T19th) as well as LSU (21 appearances), VCU (14), Wichita State (12), Old Dominion (11) and Baylor (9).
